Importing Slot Machines from Germany

First of all I’d like to say hallo to everyone in this form, this is my first post on here and I just wanted to know if anyone could give me some advice on what the laws are on importing slot machines from Germany.

Are there sites that give you info on importing slot machines?
Is there a book on this particular topic?

From the point of view of statute and law, the place to start is with the Gambling Act 2005.
Easily searched using Google.

I have never imported a machine so I can't say for certain how Excise Duty applies, but it is something that you would need to look at.
