    Default Chances of getting the feature on MG slots

    Because most online slots are really random, it is possible to plot out the reel bands & work out the exact chances of hitting any particular winning combination.
    I've been doing a lot of analysis for my new slotbeaters site and thought online slots players might be interested in some of my findings.
    The odds of hitting the 'jackpots' are quite staggering, for example:

    Thunderstruck;
    Feature trigger (3 scatters) = 124/1
    5 Scatters = 146,667/1
    5 Wilds = 3,960,000/1 - yep, nearly 4 million to 1 against!

    Loaded;
    Feature trigger (3 scatters) = 93/1
    5 Scatters = 95,993/1
    5 Wilds = 1,866,110/1

    If you really want to go chasing a big 5oak, you're best bet is Moonshine;
    Feature trigger (3 scatters) = 75/1
    5 Scatters = 6,226/1
    5 Wilds = 'only' 65,515/1
    (I've had both of those!)

    Note: 5 wilds odds is based on playing maximum lines.
    (For scatters it doesn't matter how many lines you play)

    I have actually hit the 5 wilds on Spring Break which is a clone of Thunderstruck - I never realised at the time just how extraordinarily lucky that was! It's a good job you don't need to hit the jackpot to profit from online slots!

    dude, the reel spin isn't geuinely random (oh god ive started the whole random debate again)

    The number the m/c gets is random, but what it does with that number isn't. The reels are justa visual representation of what you have won/not won.

    Yes, borderline delete but I'm inclined to let it go.
    Confucius say "man who know wombat know more than stupid looking monkey"
    Confucius also say "man who know Kebab has 60 inch waist"
    Confucius finally add "man may deal, but man may not 'know' deal"

    I'm talking about online slots - specifically Microgaming.
    In my opinion the reel spins on these are 100% random.

    I have been playing them pretty solidly for 3-years and actually record ALL my play on spreadsheets. The figures for frequency of hitting the bonus features match very closely with the theoretical figures which can be calculated from the reel bands.

    I realise there are many people who will refuse to believe this (especially those more used to totally un-random fruit machines) and that is their prerogative, but that does not change the facts or my personal opinion.

    Knowledge is power - knowing how likely something is to hit is essential for formulating any sort of gambling strategy - whether it is slots or any other casino game.

    Having this data described as spam is rather unpleasant - I thought the purpose of these forums was to share information between players which might help them win.
    Yes I have websites with affiliate links, but so do other members of this this forum, and indeed the forum itself. Does that make us all liars?
    People can visit my site or not, believe what I say or not, click on my links or not, it's their free choice as intelligent adults - there's no charge either way! I have been a daily online casino player for 7-years and an affiliate for 18-months, so I do know what I'm talking about.(mostly )

    Kasino - you say you have been playing these full time for 3 years, is this your job? Do you have another income? If you are playing as a job, how can you gurantee profit....just curious

    The fact they hit your figures means nothing?

    Toss a coin, odds are 50/50, but doesnt mean they're going to be 50/50 does it? Nothing stopping you from hitting 1 heads for every 1000 tails. So, if anything, you've proved its not truely random.

    I didn't say I was playing them full time!
    When I say daily I mean I play slots every day - sometimes only 20 minutes, sometimes 3-4 hours!
    I have a regular day job working for a manufacturing company, my online casino play is just a hobby.

    I have been making regular profits playing casinos for 7-years - mostly by making use of bonuses, but nothing is guaranteed and I do lose some months.
    For the first 4 years I played mostly card games, believing like most other people that slots were a 'mugs game'. But once I tried them and got to realise that online they really are random (despite what anyone else says or thinks), I found I could play slots & cards and still make profits. These days 90-95% of all my play is only on slots and this year looks like it could be my most profitable ever. Mind you, that is thanks in no small part to hitting a $2000 win on Bejeweled at Intercasino, and last month I made £1000 profit at Ladbrokes just playing 'The Osbournes' slot as part of a promo they were running!
    Slots are not for everyone because due to their high variance you do need to be very patient & very controlled to play them successfully.
