Gents etc.,
Lots of posts on the forum in general about forcing machines by refusing wins and holding out for a streak etc.
Not being a regular player I just wondered if anyone makes money out of just taking small wins and then walking away (the opposite of forcing?). Suppose you'd need a small 'free' win, which I've heard rumours of on some machines in previous posts.
Cath
To be honest, unless you know something on a machine, you're not going to make much on machines now, whether you force it or not.
The £25jp BFM were sometimes good for collecting wins and building a bank, whilst other manu's were good for forcing.
On the £35jp machines, you can get stung pretty badly and often the best outcome is to plough £80 in for a £105 streak- for the times when you can get a flat £35 streak after putting £80 in, I think you're best just collecting wins at times...
Just try a couple of quid and if playing well from the off and backing then just take a few wins, you'll probably make £15 without havig to put £80 in and take a chance forcing it...
Cath,
Some machines often (but not always) tend to be good for banking given the current state. For example, alot of Bellfruits, even going back to about 6 years ago are generous for banking (ie: LOTR, Bullies Prize Board + clones), and a few crests (cash attack), and a few of the latest offerings (Bucks Bunny) and Monopoly.
Alot of red £5'ers are great in kebab shops for offering £4.40, bank, next board collect a decent feature, bank, even if its only a £2 win, you will reap the benefits after a while playing, with £5'ers though, once you see a streak of bank wins, and then it starts costing £3+ for a board, its time to bail...

Cashing out is a superb anti-force answer for the manu's, not many doing it yet though...

Yeah i don't really agree with the cashing out problem either. It's only takes a tiny bit of nous to get around. I'm also with mr 1056688....there's still plenty to be made nowadays. I make as much now as i've ever done.
In fairness when I said you won't make much unless you know something, I very rarely go out and play them. Only ever have a quick dabble if in the local pub...
I think my point is valid though from the BB example.
Backing and playing so well- offering good cash pots and and I ran out of money after throwing £80+ in and sometiems they do a flat £35.
I've played a full BB since and collected a few wins, put about £20 in and built up a bank of £60- so that is £40 up without forcing- that's better than the average profit you will make forcing one that is 'ready' to go...
I can't really fathom that £20 in for £60 collecting on BB. Thats 12 £5 boards in £20 of credits! They die so bloody quickly as well!
