    Default s16's

    Now then newbie here

Been reading the posts for a few days now and just wanted to know what the crack is with the s16's. I used to be above avergae player back in the day when it was £15 Jp's as i worked in a pub so got to learn quite a bit but stopped for a quite while when i left as i dont like playing "blind" if you know what i mean. Last time i played a s16 properly was about 4 weeks ago in the 24 hr snooker club and got a tidy profit as normal (bout £200 -£300 all the time) as i usually play about 4am onwards after been out clubbing and the taxi drivers have shot all their takings in for the night as per usual BUT went to Middlesborough to get a tattoo and the appointment was is an hours time so i went and killed some time in the arcade. Put £20 in Rainbow Riches and it transferred £10 into the bank and kept £10 for credits which i was puzzled that then i tried to use my normal £2 stake and it would not change which made me really confused at which time i noticed the pots had gone and replaced with a "win £500" sheet on the pot glass. They then said something about the casinos have complained that they are losing money because peole are playing here and not there, i said fair enough can i have my £20 back and ill play another as i dont want to play the "revised version" of Rainbow Riches as i hate playing any state apart from £2 but they said no. I did point out that the "old" one would let you collect all of your cash at anytime and there was no warning that the game had changed but they said no. I got quite angry then these gimps came out in bomber jackets with the arcades logo on (bit like beverly hills cop when they are in the office lol) and basically said play them off there is nothing we can do. Played them off and left and got pints in Yates!

Sorry for the rant but i was well pissed off! But is this casinos have complained stuff true? i have also been told my beloved rainbow riches and grand casino have been removed from the club so just wondred what all this changes is all about?

why didn't you just play off one spin, and collect your £19 quid and try something else. surely a pound isn't going to bankrupt you, and surely a chance of a bit of luck as well!?!?

you cant collect that was my point. It put £10 into credits and kept £10 in the bank. That was why i got so pissed off cos i cos i would have cashed out the £19 but instead i had to play £10 worth of credits before i could cash out the other £10 from the £20 note.

there wasnt the option, in a nutshell i stuck a £20 note in half was auto transfered to credits other half was bank. Kicked off and staff said new rules no more £2 stakes etc etc prog pots illegal so play my tenner credits and cash out the rest if i didnt like it.

These have also been removed fro 24hr Reilys snooker club?

It is the new B3 software you can only play at £1 (Or 50p/25p depending on machine) spins but the pay out structure is the same as if it would have been on £2 spins.

I think you have to play your first £10 but i am not 100% sure. I know after you transfer you can collect at any time

Yea i noticed this the other day, i didnt complain tho since you can actually win £500 from a measly £1 stake compared to a note eating £2.

you can collect the remaining £9 in the credit bank on barcrests like RR, elvis etc, but not on a slotto, you have to play the credits off!!

all you have to do is press collect again, but you do have to have a spin so that your not just using it like a change machine!!

Yep, Zorro Jnr is dead right. The thieving bastad Slottos. You put a twenty pound note in. Without pressing a single button, a tenners worth gets transferred to credits and the other tenner stays in the credit 'bank' whether you like it or not. You can collect the tenner in the credit 'bank', but you MUST play all of the other tenner off in spins. It can't be transferred back to the credit 'bank' to collect..........
Surely this is rather dodgy as basically it means the minimum stake on a slotto unless you bugger about inserting coins is £10............

    Talking of dodginess:
Nice little skirt round the edge of the new laws by some arcade operators. The law states you can only have 4 £500 type machines OPERATIONAL in an arcade at any time. Doesn't actually stop the arcade having more than 4 of these type of machines on the arcade floor though does it. Been in a couple of arcades over the last week where they still have 6 £500 machines. Two of them are turned off at any time with a large sign on the front saying ' This machine is still available to play. Please ask a member of staff to turn it on' So, member of staff comes over, switches your requested machine on and then turns one of the other £500 machines off. Simple. The arcade never has more than 4 of these machines operational at any one time, but still offers more than 4 different machines for the punter to play. Nice fiddling idea, whoever thought of that one..........

The thing is GB why would you be inserting £20 into a S16 and not be thinking about playing at least £10 off?

If you are going to play less credits you may as well get it changed up and insert £1-£9 in coins?
