I was in my local today and there were two blokes who weren't really playing anything -a pound here and there and then they'd sit down and have a chat. Once they were alone and i had my back to them they sat down at the Party Games and quickly after no.1 paid out everything it had. I thought funny, I dont remember them getting a big win or feature, and then half a minute later they emptied no.2.
I then left to play the 10p machines not wanting to be around if they were doing something illegal.
How do you reckon they managed to empty the hoppers, was one of Darryl Watts microwave devices or something else?
They were using a piece of wire. When they come again, walk up to them, tell them you own the pub and demand half their profits
how does this wire thing work? not that am gonna try it
Prob used to short something out on the board or to (de)press a switch to make hopper dump.
So just litrally stick a copper wire down the coin slot and hope for some action?
No they dont just stick it in. These people usually have an intimate knowledge of the internals of said machine, and have checked it over for exploits. Usually force a panel or button slightly just to get the wire past and into the internals. If you know where to touch you can short a section of the electronics that controls the hopper or somesuch. Some older cabinets used to have the electronics for the tubes under the start button, touch a wire between a point on the circuit board and the metal edge of the cabinet, it creates a short and pays out a coin. Obviously repeated until empty. Highly illegal or worse if you get caught by the heavies in some establishments.
all these were getting done ages ago. when you sit down you apply pressure lifting the leather cushion bit and sliding a rod a doing the hopper dump.
