Yes i have just got back from one of my most ever boring visits to the bookmakers, with my "Non Gambling Friend". After 30mins i lost my weeks wages to such devastation. My friend decided to put £20 in to my utter shock and literally cover the board so basically only about 6 numbers would make him a decent profit. for the best part of 45mins we sat (I was utterly bored) and watched the balance between £14.40, £18 and £21.60 until finally i pusuaded him to take a risk, and lost it in the 1st spin. He was absoulty gutted, ive never seen anything like it.

Does anyone else have any friends like this?

Well I'd rather be 'boring' than lose a week's wages in a roulette machine...

I don't undsertand why people even play them- how can a supposedely random game have a payout percenatge?????

Micky, a weeks wage in a roulette machine, in such short time, tells me there's problems somewhere... the main one being lack of self discipline

theres people say they know to play them rubbish all roulette is random unless its your lucky day otherwise u win lose

Badders, you've obviously not seen the other posts on roulette, if a piece of code has to adapt to a percentage, its algorithm is not coded to be completely random... do the basic maths.

thats no more than a glorified fruit machine then eh.. they are meant to be fixed odds cus they have the house edge.

I thought the house won if the ball landed on 0 or 00 depending on whether euro or US.

That gave then a 1/40 chance to clear the board

The house doesnt win, the 0 and 00 are there to advance the house edge, (odds for landing on a single number 35-1) with the 0 and especially 00 this gives the house better odds, as there is 37/38 numbers on the board... You can still bet on 0 and 00 singular, and beat the house edge on 1 spin

Yes but as i always say you've got to speculate to accumualte. They all call me mad when im spinning £100 a time compared to their fivers - However they will always turn round and say "You lucky b##t##d" when a collected a nice amount and them complaining "We never win much" basically its you bet big you win big, am not going to bother with daft £30 wins and such. You need the balls i always say.

We were in the casino a few weeks back and i lost a hefty amount, and you should have seen them when a placed my last £500 on black -- Red 23 (Devastation) will never forget it

must admit you've got balls bud, it's great when it comes in but much much worse when they dont I bet...............well dont hold me to that cause you might just put a few quid on it hehe!
