Hi There, Im New To This Site And Looking For A Few Pointers. Used To Be A Full-time Player In The Days Of Great Escape, 5 Liner, Hotshot, King Kebab, Etc. Finished Off My Playing With Vivids & Lock N Load Cheat. Not Played Now For 3-4 Years Due To Marriage, Kids And Getting A Job. (what A Nightmare!). Starting Now To Get Itchy Fingers Again But Not Sure What To Start Off On.
What Are The New Reds & Barcrests Like Now, And Are Any Of The Other Makes Any Good?
Any Help On These Or Playing Methods Would Be Greatly Appreciated.

I wouldnt bother getting back into fruities now.. they are rapidly being replaced by FOBT machines and the like..

few quid say is just not worth it for £35JP these days whne you can put a fiver into a roulette machine and end up hundreds of quid up in much less time.

or hundreds down in much less time, what scott is saying is right years ago it was pretty much about skill ( from the days of the 4.80 jackpots when the skillshot never jumped and u could hit reel match and it would stop where u hit it lol) i used to play in betting shops until they replaced them with the fobt's now i play in pubs but machines are a lot tighter now than they used to be , my advice would be find a local pub or 2 ( spoons normally have about 4 machines in) remember the names , then do a search on here for them or do a post with the names of the machines on which will make it easier for people on here to answer ,

I disagree with this. Yes, in many bookies they have been replaced by FOBT's but Fruit Machines are as common and prominent as they always were in Pubs and Arcades. No sign of the manus slowing down with design or production either, plenty of new clones relased on a regular basis. Any professional full time player who knows what he is doing will tell you that things have never been better for the full time player.

If you are going to play with 'a few quid' then yes you are better off using it in some other form of gambling, but as most players know (including you Scott), you aren't going to win anything with a few quid. Red's are as good (if not better) than they have always were and a handful of barcrests are worth a force. Of course there are other things worth playing but that's a general overview of how things stand today.

I wouldnt agree this is the best time EVER a1, but it certainly is an upward trend after some dire past years.

I dont mean from perspective of an experianced player or one with good info..

I mean for a new comer or just someone who plays a few quid in the pub from time to time..

I am just saying it seems to me they have been replaced (certainly here in Leicester).. you wont find one in any of the bookies and majority of pubs seem to have 2 or 3 tops and shit like WWTBAM/skill type games.. but this is just the places I frequent here in Leicester..

Then again if you are in the pub and wanna blast a quicker fiver then I guess why not but I mean on a risk-reward basis for that fiver I say stick it in a roulette machine instead.. much bigger returns.
