I seem to b e able to get very ROM that was or is released. I'm wanna set-up a server at home for many people to access, like cliffs server over at fruit froums, anyone interested???? pass the word and related comments back please

well it isny hard to setup, just dont want to step on any toes, personally i mean, not arsed about barcrest etc,..... they can all fook off!!!!!! its a hobby, sound good???? more input, chopley your are well known at FF see any problems??

Micky, he means he can obtain the programs that make machines run, thereby allowing them to be emulated on a PC (assuming someone has coded an emulator that will run roms from a particular series).

Rob, im sure the only person that should have a problem with it is Cliff, apart from that should be fine, I mean DadsFME and Fruit-Emu are also hosting the mpu5 roms on their servers too now...

There's an absolutely desperate shortage of more recent MPU5 ROMs, so if you've got those complete with sound, it'd be an absolute godsend.

I don't know the exact cut-off point, but we don't seem to have anything from 2003 onwards (going off Barcrest's own launch catalogue):

We're also short on MPU5 ROMs from other companies that have used the tech, notably Empire's output over the last few years.

So the big one would be Zorro, if you've got MPU5 ROMs + sound from 2003 onwards, quite frankly, the entire fruit machine emulation scene would buy you pints from now until the end of time. (And if any of them are good looking girls, probably give you a blow job as well.)

Also, whilst there isn't currently an Epoch emulator, one is under development and may well see the light of day eventually, however, we're knackered for Epoch ROMs, and have practically nothing from Maygay and Impulse, and also Extreme (before they went MPU5), Global we're better on, but still not good.

In particular, I think we only have six Epoch sound ROM sets in total, which is total arse.

ok, well i have got a few bits on at work from now till thursday so i'm just gonna have to put it on hold for a few days, but i will look more into it when i get some free time towards next weekend and discuss it more then.
