    Default Bfm Streaks

Looks like Bfm are mixing up their streak values a little more again.
After a wave of depressing £50 streaks in the last 6-12 months I then got an IM out the blue on a Spice it Up for...£35. No follow up IM board, so it gets worse.
Last week though I played a DOND what's in your box which IM'd off the first feature and did the full £75...been a while since I've seen that.
Wish they'd make their minds up, for such rigid profiling on normal games you'd have thought that the streak for £75 should be there every time.

This was one of the final nails in the coffin for me and BFMs, the woeful unreliability of the streak.

We had quite a few "final chip" machines on the IOM, and the number of trouble-free £75 streaks I had was barely into double figures.

£50 wasn't unusual, and a depressing number of straight £25 and then dead.

However, are we sure that all the machines are perfectly capable of £75, they just don't get to save for it?

I always figured the £75 was a genuine streak pot that once unlocked would release the full value, but having ploughed serious quantities of cash through a lot of emulated £25 BFMs, it seems that they can do £50 or £75 depending on how much they're being forced and how long they go between streaks.

The old "force-to-streak" Barcrests back on the £15 JP were the same, if left for a while they'd routinely do £60 or £45, but if you got too on top of a machine and hit it too often, this would drop down to £30 and eventually it wouldn't streak at all.

I'm wondering if BFMs are the same, and that the £75 isn't a fixed streak pot, but can be as little as £25-£35, and then grows over time, and depending on player styles and jackpot frequency, it can be taken before it hits the £75.

Just a theory like, not saying I'm right

This works for me chopper, BFM have always had the edge when it comes to great playability games, that work perfect for the punters, and kill the dreams of players, but even players, when youve had the odd 1 or 2 JD's that you shouldnt have even have to try a few quid.

Going back to the days of PIR, LB it was tight as, then came along the generation of LOTRs, CLT where profiles seemed to loosen up a bit, but the streak potential ratio is fucked. But, AS a business theyre obviously on the right road.

Blindsighting players is a great way for revenue, because by providing 'excellent' gameplay, the distros couldnt care less about streak potential, as its gameplay where they make their money anyway through punting, however, I do believe that the tighter their machines get, in the long run the punters even will begin to stop punting, because they realise theres fuck all worth playing for (from a punters point of view).

Chav IT! for example, I was in a pub in preston not been in for a while, first £8 in backing, fuck it, had plenty on me, forced, after £33 come out with a red mega streak of £83, and £10 afters, madness but possible, very suprised for a pub in the city centre.

So IMO, while streak potential is fucked on BFM's, they dont force you to play them, if the profiles crap, move on, hasnt the debate of BFM been the same for the past few years? Why should it change? Its obviously worked for them, AND they are still independant, without Barcrest taking over.

.....and it was fun to play unlike your current b*llocks out now!

This is a perfect example in the emulator (also Happy Fruits).

If you play it "well" - maximising the features, working round the blocks and so on, essentially playing it beyond how average punters would, it'll never streak.

You might get a JP followed by a JP board soon after, it will even chuck the odd invincible board in from nowhere, but it'll never do the "proper" £45/£60 streak which would be triggered from a first JP.

However, play a couple of hundred through it "normally" - collecting smaller wins, fucking things up, that sort of thing - and it'll do a proper streak from a JP like it would back in the wild.

I'm wondering if this is the phenomenon that kidgloves is seeing with BFMs in the wild, it's not so much that the £75 streak has been coded out, it's more that there are less casual players these days, and far more "players" (such as a lot of them aren't.....) who'll force like fuck all the time and always stick around for a JP, hence the machine never gets chance to save properly for a streak.
