What is your opinion on section 16's ?

New to this site been gambling for about 15 years though. Just wanted to know everyone opinion on these new section 16 fruit machines. What do you think of them, have you ever had a really good win or a really bad experience. Share your veiws and opinions.

Avoid at all costs.
An industry insider tells me they have been "rodded" for £millions.
Now think this through for a moment, how are they going to get this money back??? Yes, you guessed it, "mug punter". So the cash in/cash out ratios are totally distorted, the machine has to catch up on the cash in!

I know people who have called in the gaming board to a very well known national bingo company in my area after putting in nearly £9000 in a Cashino and not one JP being paid out. It was set at the very minimum legal % payout so nothing could be done.

Theyre not THAT bad really, at our local casino there are plenty IOU'd all the time because its paid out when it couldnt afford, loads always IOU'd so even though i dont play them, I think they do play 'as said' in a gamblers eyes, from a technical perspective however, I do strongly disagree with them using the word 'random' at all costs.

They IOU all the time because on £2 a spin, its so much easier feeding in a £20 rather than £1 coins

Agreed, but my main point is the amount of punters that play them and the amount of times in one night ive seen bucketloads being poured out, to these punters its a fair shout imo, just a 'random' game which is what they want?

I personally avoid them like the plague, and your lucky if I stick the odd £2 in for 4 spins on 50p a go

Anyway it has nothing to do with them they just say yes or no to gambling laws if you want to moan at anyone for S16 games then moan at the manufacturers they are the people reaping the rewards.

They are like any other fruit machine if you dont have the money to play them then dont. My advice to anyone looking to have a dabble on them is set you self a limit. Say £20/40/60 and stick to it dont sit there and think "oh but I have stuck my £40 in and I haven't had a win surely it will pay out now" cos it aint going to happen. Read the comment below from likesapunt £9000 through and no 500 win. There was probably plenty of £100 - £300 wins but people get greedy on these things and think that isn't enough. Your chance of getting a big win at the end of you £40 is the same as the press of your first spin

Moan at yourself for playing on them. The manufacturers are running a business not a charity.

If I owned a fruit machine manufacturer and the laws permitted I'd do the same thing.
