Default Fruit Machines / Arcade Help

    Hello Everybody

Finally got aroung to signing up after being a long time regular lurker of these forums, never got around to signing up as I am not allowed to at work.

I have a friend of a friend who has had to repossess some machines after the bill for storing them wasn't being paid!

I have been and had a look at them and there are about 40+ machines, most of which are the old skool £5 jackpots...Hurricane, Monopoly etc etc Although it was alot to take in at the time, I think there were some bigger prize machines which didn't have a board or features

I was just looking to have maybe 1 or 2 of them but I think there could be a profit from having the lot and selling them on... But after the initial buzz of seeing the potential I have my doubts.

They all looked in ok condition but were covered in 2years worth of dust, do machines have a tendancy to brake or cease if not used for such long periods?

IF i find somewhere to store them how do I shift them? Do i need to get a special lorry with a drop down step? Or will a normal lorry do?

Not 100% sure if they had keys with them, are these easy/cheap to replace?

And... somebody worried me the other day saying that unless there were for personal use I would need a licence to sell them, is this true?

Sorry about the length of the post but if anybody has any help or information about the above I would be extremly grateful!

Hope to speak to you all soon

    Regards

    Echo

What sort of conditions were they stored in?

Extremes of temperature aren't good, but any kind of dampness is the real killer, especially over an extended period of time.

Easiest thing to do would probably be to try and power a few of them up and see what happens, 'cause if they're goosed everything else becomes pretty much irrelevant.
No links to anywhere from me mofos!

As far as I'm aware you don't need a license to sell them as long as the coin mech is disconnected when ya sell it, check out some of the machs for sale on ebay, should give ya an idea of how theyre sold

    PS Welcome to the forums
