    Default Emulator layouts

    Anyone got any experiance here??

I have completed my DX of King Kebab except some bulbs need the light levels sorting as it looks a bit patchy at the minute but thats a minor point...

The one thing MISSING is the damn kebab stack.. I tried duallamping with the images and just using one lamp per colour with simple on/off..

However, the lamps lose their transparancy for some reason and it looks pretty bad. :/

Without the source code for the emulator I dont think there is much we can do about problems like this.

I think I will have to release my 'DX' with the Lamp Stack with no graphics just solid colour :/

    Unless anyone has any sugestions?
Why has it come to this?

Scott, from what i've resd for various thread you have done a DX the hard way

I'm gonna give you a super quick guide.

    ----------------------------------

Have a classic layout of the machine you want to do.

Have the image of the machine you want to use, all cleaned up etc. Save as 'unlit'

Now with this image above, each bulb/lamp that need lighting do it on this image (when you have done them all you will have an image with every 'bulb' lit)

Now, save that image as 'lit'

Now open up the classic layout and load the 'lit' image into it.

Move the lamps over the graphic that, that lamp would light.

Now, go into design and near the bottom there's an option to extract all lamps. Do this and all your lit lamps can be saved as images.

Now load the unlit image over the top and go to design and goto import on lamps and all you lit lamps will go over the top of the unlit ones.

If you have lamps ovberlaid you will need to add transparentcy, to do this fill in around the egde of the lamp in question with a bright pink colour. Basically, just fill everything that's not lit on that 1 lamp.

Hopefully you get the jist of the above, i've not done a DX in a long time so some of the menu names might be slightly different.

PM me if you want anything
