Folks etc., as a newbie, only playing for a year or so on a pretty amateur level round the E Midlands and mostly in arcades, I get the impression from reading old posts that the best places to play machines are in pubs and possibly bowling alleys, Bingo halls etc. and that probably it's best to avoid chain arcades and motorway services cos they'll get em chipped as soon as anyone posts a cheat, emptier, free win etc and they're on pretty low percentages anyway (70% by the looks of it). There's a Battleaxe and Lucky Strike in my local arcade but I reckon they're both chipped. Never seen a Bling King Crazy but was one on e-bay a few weeks ago, felt like asking who bought it....
Also I've just bought a refill key but I'm a bit worried about using it cos I've heard that some machines have refill alarms. Can anyone confirm what machines are alarmed? Is it possible to play, er, sensibly, without using a refill key - not easy to use in an arcade but easier in a pub I would think.
Thanks,
Cath
i tend play in arcades and pubs and the havens because of not many kids telling u what to do
army of ghosts
Think you'll find machines in pubs are on the lower percentages....74 and 76%often and at best 78%. Motorway services are often as bad if not worse. Also you'll be struggling to find any motorway service area that isn't already thoroughly battered on a regular basis by experienced travelling players.
If you play in the wrong type of arcades i.e most seaside arcades and certain shitty independent sites then the payouts will be equally shite.
However, if you find the right chains and certain independents then the payouts will be much better, WELL in the eighties. Don't be fooled by stickers on the front of machines stating 'this machine pays a minimum percentage of xx%. They are usually the ones stuck on as an absolute minimum fron new by the manufacturer. they may bear no resemblance at all to what percentage the machine is actually set at...........
we dont have anything set lower than 86% even the 5p stuff
