Thumbs down blast from the past

does anyone remember the old spinx and pryamid machines? is it just me, or were machines a lot more fun 10 years ago?

ahhhhh, fond memories, blues borothers, bullseye - 20 for bull, 20 for bull!, happy days - clone of bullseye, big bucks, roller coaster, good times, the match..................... why arent machines fun anymore!!!???

anyone recommend anything that actually is fun to play??? ive started to play only party times, golden games, and monolopies in arcades now, and i even spend more time on the itbox than i do on the machines in pubs these days.

will def have to check that out, im just down the road in brighton, was thinkin of a southampton trip, maybe pompeys just as good! now if there was a doctor who machine aswell...................

saying that, there are a load of eachway nudgers down here (bastard jackpot music was what got me all those years ago, as a video games player at the age of 10 or 11 hearing it go off every 10 minutes was enough to make me curious!)

also if anyone knows if i can hold of any old skool machines (2p per play, £1.50 - £2 - £2.40 jps, in particular and old jpm or bwb i forget, called fruit king - it played "la cocaracha" jp theme,, and also the black hole was an old favourite too) lemme know, would def be interested

also, if anyone wants any arcade games in cabinets let me know, my mate builds them for mainland entertainment (fruity and video game supplier) VERY cheap compared to the market

    Ahhhhhh....

    Dr Who

I recall sitting in the childrens section of a long gone arcade (at the age of about 6) watching someone play that machine lol.

I wish i was older i can remember every machine they had too this day!

In the over 18's section; Heaven and hell 15, on the busses?!?!?! 10, PCB 15?!?!? a few video poker machines which i now realise would have been VERY sharkable.

In our section i.e kidies. Nudge double up deluxe, 2p nuder or something?? Each way nudger (MY FIRST EMPTY!!!!!) with the turn it off and if rolled it,s bollocks off method!, fight night 5PJ, nudge banker, hi spirits (empire) (used to roll nicely as well), treasure trail, haunted house, AND screeeeewwwwwin around! The roll on this could go huge~!.

I recall sitting there with an er senior to me, probably about 13 or something at the time playing away and rejecting 3 pound wins etc i was shitting myself, suddenly we hit 'skillful screwin' for jp repeating to like 40 LOL crazy days.

In thpse ADDICT days i sat there all day, even if no one was in (with no money either?!) just praying for someone to come in and play pinball nudger so i could hit there skills lol and maybe theyd give me 10p to play the tuppny . Great days but yet seem sad now!

Oops, forgot they also had a constantly played wild west 15pj!
