    Red face Where now boys?

Well, I must say... (been a while since I started a thread here)

With the release of the mpu5/scorp emu, where does this leave the fruit machine chat? I mean, imo, it was getting dier 'as-is' with the current release of SHITE from the manus, and now the once 'uncrackable' mpu5 is now probably resting on thousands of hdd's nationally, and the manus now sat around their board tables scratching their heads, what next...?

Last night I took the time to dig through some really old threads I have started and participated in, some really interesting ones and it seems now, that this board may only fill up with 'non-exciting' information or just pure s16 chat?!!?!

I dont know, maybe Im thinking too far ahead here... maybe the release of mpu6 is only around the corner, ready to rock this joint for another 48 months... who knows? Anyone else see my point?

I just hope that hopefully, one day, we can start seeing the more useful conversations and topics on here, rather than talking about specific machines all the time and the odd newblet asking for an emptier, we can acually talk about something a little more specific in terms of machines, the future, the past, technology of the current era, past and future. Who knows, yes Ive been on the JackD's, but I felt the need to spill my heart out, to such a wonderful yet seemingly 'untouched' audience.

I have to admit it has been quite lately, a lot of crap threads, but I guess it reflects the state of play at the moment.

Has the AWP industry reached it 'bottom'? I mean where else can it progress, all we see are clones of other machines, getting tighter and tighter and less likely to streak as each new one is brought out.

Take Flash Cash, the clone of SRM etc. I am yet to see a decent streak out of that machine. I've caught the Flash Cash Streak a few times within £10 and on a couple of occasions got a Tuttif Fruitti on super for JP a couple of boards later, but never seen it streak bigtime and make it worth going out of my way to play. I fear the last great Barcrest to have been released is TAW, which gets hammered so much now it's completely dead after the first Red Series.

Pink Panther, £24 mega streaks!! Is it worth really risking your money to win £24 off the top streak?

Danny, I see were you are coming from but the really useful threads have all been made, there's such a lack of anything decent out there at the moment that people in the know don't want to share it because it's all they have to keep an edge that is getting blunter each day...

((I guess in a way I have been discusiing the future of the AWP industry, and I'm afraid to say it is looking bleak!! Although I have to admit, when I get the chance, I still like to play. Nothing better than catching a Pink Pantther ready to play and seeing the cash shoot up 10 places all red when you land on add cash ))

I doubt there will be a new version of MPU now as there is not a lot more you can do with the current fruit machines.. most future ones will probably use more widely available hardware and software like windows or linux..

e.g FOBTS and some club machines.. even some low-techs.
Why has it come to this?

I can't see any manu wanting to invest any serious cash in a new "traditional" reel-based tech, especially since the AWP market is absolutely dying on its arse.

It's going to be video-based all the way from now on IMO, it may well be that MPU5 is the last revision of the technology. Barcrest do have the option of adding some extra protection to the existing MPU5 hardware to nobble the emulator, which is the route I suspect they'll probably go down.

The truth of the matter is that there's pretty much fuck all to talk about with AWPs these days, after all, when was the last time a machine really needed any true skill?

It's simply a matter of knowing the right trick or method, usually just a crude force or some basic manipulation (SSS knockback for example).

The AWP market is all but done for, and the manus are releasing the tightest machines they possibly can in the meantime.

Stands to reason there ain't much to talk about....

April may bring in a wave of banter here once the £35er's get a bit more coverage. Theres almost certain to be a good few exploits slipping in to the ones getting an upgrade from £25-£35.

As a side note is it just coincidence that the MPU5 emu was leaked hours after £35er's became legal?

Personally, I can't understand what everyone is moaning about. There might not be much to talk about but there is plenty (perhaps more than ever) money to be made.

I've got no complaints and neither have the suppliers as far as I'm aware.

Throw a wobblers dying down on their arse??? no they are not and why play for red series just take pots and keep taking steals big money to be made.
Flash Cash its not a machine thats meant to be forced, there are ways to play that which can bring out the real profits.
Golden Games are still good machines to be playing, I still have 1 unchipped Lucky Strike which is producing amazing profits.
The YDD machines are still brilliant if played through properly.

Aint much to talk about but why would you want to talk, there is mega money...well not mega money but there certianly is alot to be made out their.
Its only on loannnnnnn, its only on loaaannnnnn in Athens Grace will bring it back hommmmmmmmeeeee.

That's my point, there is nothing really to talk about!

Although with TAW, they are harder to streak now as more and more people are doing them. If someone has streaked it for £100+ it is going to take two weeks + to get that streak value back, and who is to say you'll get it before all the other people?

I'll be honest, I've only ever really forced a Flash Cash when playing well. What is the better way to play it Anfield?

Talking video and graphics may not be the way forward

first of all, hello, im dave. pleased to make your accquaintences. stumbled upon this site purely by mistake and i gotta say, the level of knowledge on here is a hellova lot higher than elsewhere on the net!! bit about myself before i contribute to the thread, just so as im not runnin in ignorant! ive been a player / addict (!) for between 12 and 15 years now (bastard each way nudgers got me when i was young - damm you jpm!!!) and over the last few years have become more of a "pro" than a "part-timer" ive been really impressed like i say with the level of knowledge on here (a bit dissappointed that all my golden game methods are on here too if im honest!! but its a good thing, im sure!!) and ive added a few methods to my reportoire for it, so thanks guys for that!

waffle, waffle, waffle (name for a new red machine maybe?)

anyways, onto the thread. i dont think that the traditional reels will be replaced anytime soon, i dont know if you recall, but towards the end of the £6 token and beginning of the £8 era there were a shitload of video machines called las vegas and monte carlo and various other clones, i thought that they were gonna take over back then (mid 90's) but they didnt, i guess that the golden game - multiplayer machines have kicked off in a big way recently, but i do fear for the future of the industry as pretty much no original games have come out for the longest time. i dont even think that you could call teh King of Bling and clones original really, and early photos of teh new £35 jackies seem to be hybrids of other machines too. i just hope that something new (not more fucking s16s - pieces of shit, should be banned) comes along soon. im getting a bit bored in all honesty, and by this time with all this waffle, so are you, so, merry christmas and a profitable new year to you all!
