Indeed. Must be 8 years or so since I played properly. Still dabble on the odd day but nothing like the old days.
Much prefer to lose £100 on the turn of a card than lose the gamble of £3 to £4 on a crappy Bfm. The more astute among you can see why.
Confucius say "man who know wombat know more than stupid looking monkey"
Confucius also say "man who know Kebab has 60 inch waist"
Confucius finally add "man may deal, but man may not 'know' deal"
yeah I think fruities have become too fackin tedious now even I dont bother often..
Just not worth the time and effort now unless its a solid method of course.. its also very rare you will catch me playing machines just for the sake of it now when I am in pubs etc..
Why has it come to this?
They are ok if youve got a few select machines(generaly older machines) here and there.
I havent played for about 3 months now although im going out on sat for old times sake. Actualy looking forward to it (prolly a bad thing lol).
Anyone got any juicy current info?

Funny this thread should come up.
I've got a few machines that offer profit, but I haven't bothered for at least over a month now, if not longer. I've had a dabble here and there like the rest of you say, but no longer going out once a week to solely play the machines.
I think the main reason is that I'm taking a lot more time out for other things, such as the horses for a start, but also, playing fruit machines is just so anti social. Walk into a pub, your only company a hefty float a £100 coins in your coat, play the fruit machine for half an hour, then leave. It just doesn't appeal as much as it once did when now I can ring a couple of friends up and have a good day out at the races or whatever.

You can still profit from machines, just not on the scale of the old days. Even with mates in tow, I can snatch a quick tenner (so what you might say), thats a round with the guys paid for. No 200 profits, but a tenner a pub still pays dividends.
This is surely the end of an era.

I agree with that fully, but I don't like going out alone no more for such small profits. I mean somedays when I went out recently I'd be £100+ off pub machines per week but it just doesn't appeal as much as it did.Originally Posted by levartemit
