I've been thinking of getting a fruit machine for a while back now.
Do you think it's worth it to buy?
Kinda newbie question, I'm afraid.

Depends on how much you want to spend Highgate?, if you want one of the newer mech's then it's not cheap for something to sit in your house etc
16k for a party time 4 seater anyone...... bloody big room needed too !!

my friend had a old great escape he brought to cut his gambling didnt work tho he got bored of the machine took all the money out and lost it then sold it so he could go gambling waste of time really![]()

Ouch stew!, though wondering on pricing, room for the machine would be another BIG problem, certainly :o
And I would not like to invest on making room for a machine if over time I have to ending up selling the thing as your friend did, badders :S

I would add that other than PC fruit machine, you must think it twice for fun at home, unless you have a good plan such as get it for your club instead.
I was told that some console games have slots machine games available, not sure if Play Station or Xbox thoOriginally Posted by MasterMind
Not sure if a console game though would cure someone who really wanted and thought they 'needed' to gamble. I think the on-line slots/fruit machines where you just play for fun (no money involved) are in fact, fun. But I know plenty of people that disagree with me and would rather be putting money, money, money into something, with the hopes of a return.
If it is for a games room as a centre piece then fine. If you think you will save money by not going to arcades then you are definately wrong. You will be bored of it in a week.
In my time (15-25 year span) I had 3 different machines at home. I personally found I didn't get bored with them, and actually saved up quite a bit of money. I still went to the arcades - but not as much.Originally Posted by DAM0N
But it's down to the individual - it does take quite a lot of will power (or giving the keys top someone else!) to use them as a piggy bank!![]()
