these things claim to be random , but a bit of common sense would tell you that on 4 guitars that if you only get £40 that maybe it don`t want to pay.

Not necessarily.
If its paid out loads through reel wins, feature games will pay out less in order to get the percentgae back in order. Conversely, if no reel wins have come in over a large number of plays, you might expect more from the features.
Matt
Yeah but where does it state that if you get 4 guitars you you are guaranteed xxx amount. I have seen 5 guitars give £50
As said many times before the rng is constantly running when you push the button, that is the random point of selection. The machine will now diaplay a set of reel icons to match the selected win or give you a feature which will be the the same amount.
All this crap when people select one of the Juke boxes/Playing cards and their amount is the lowest one there. They then say ohhhhhh i could have had £150 if i had choosen that one.
Excuse me NO YOU WOULDN'T!!!!!
It doesnt matter what one you push if the machine has selected £50 then the one you pick will be £50 regardless. The machine shows you the other amounts for such a reaction to make you put more in
the higher amounts are there just to p u off

i cannot believe that after everything posted on these sites that people still say i got 4 guitars and only £40 should have been more or that if you get a lot of reel wins then bonuses will give less to adjust percentage. THESE MACHINES DO NOT HAVE A PERCENTAGE. they are 100% random. they could in theory pay jp after jp after jp. you have as much chance of winning the jp on two quid as you do on a grand. they do state minimum wins for bonuses and maximums, and because they are random what you hit is what you get. they do not change the wins behind bonuses like some suggest, that would mean that the win wasn't random. the barcrest chappy that installed the elvis top twenty in my local admitted that the percentage stated on the front is just there to appease the regulators. there is no way to set any kind of percentage on these machines. if you are ever next to one of these when it gets a refill have a look at the screen when they press the hopper top up on screen. the machine will state the actual payout percentage, i have never seen anything above 10% and i have had a lot of jp on these machines, some cheaply some not. these machines are an absolute rip off, they cannot be sharked, they do have a couple of warning signs that a jp is imminent but be warned these machines can suck thousands as some others on here can testify to.
We've been here before many a time.
These games are random.
They run to a percentage.
They may take a lifetime to hit that percentage depending on how many losing and winning combinations there are, but leave the machine long enough and it will hit 94% or whatever the stats behind the game dictate.
Bottom line is the more you play, the more you will lose, same as Blackjack and Roulette.
Barcrest don't site machines themselves. They manufacture them, sell them to a distributor who sell them to the end user, the operator. Anything an engineer tells you in a pub is likely to be bullshit.
Loads of threads about this on here and other sites - have a read sometime.

Confucius say "man who know wombat know more than stupid looking monkey"
Confucius also say "man who know Kebab has 60 inch waist"
Confucius finally add "man may deal, but man may not 'know' deal"
i know this is crap but there is talk of an emptier and some machines are out of order there must be something
