Question Phil Taylor / Bully 4 U / Yabba Dabba Darts

Was playing Phil Taylor darts last night at service stattion, was not playing particularly well. Was even more astounded when started chatting to another player there who said he'd put £30 into it just before I arrived with no luck.

Basically put £22 into it on top of the £30 and came away with what I had put in. Basically gave me £20 through taking some shots (didn't give repeat chance) and then just to see if there were any afters i put in another £2 which I got back. Should I have put more in to find out whether it was going to streak?

Was really surprised, I would have thought that after taking £50, it would want to start playing better or am I just being naive?

Also can someone advise on how the vchips thing works on here and what they are for? I guess they are some sort of currency?

    Cheers

You don't collect on these machines- you just force them out and hope to start a streak that way. By taking £20 off the shots, you are just setting it back mate. BTW, there are more than few threads already on these machines- take a look round the site!!

Also, if you didin't know this player who told he got nothing off £30, he is probably lying- why would he tell a complete stranger when hw could just let you fill it back up for him? That £20 off the shots was probably the afterplay after he just streaked it- and helps explain why it was playing so shit.

My advice is never trust a stranger as 9/10 they are talking bullshit. I am more interested when they tell me they just won £30- usually means they lost a fortune! Why else would they be hovering round unless they didn't want to see you win 'their' money?

There are some honest players out there, who will tell you if they just streaked a machine and they feel sorry and let you know before you waste money- but no player will come up to you and tell you they have just lost money in a machine- there is no point to it!

Best signs on these machines- obviously backing is good, but if it is offering true skill on a mystery- ie, to land on multi add, then the DM is not far off at all. I had a Phil the Taylor do £56 off DM on Friday!

    jjh, thanks for the replies.

I got to the Bull's Hit feature one below DM. Decided to take shots as was on trebles. Racked up £20, then continued on the board and straight off got the mystery. I bottled it and collected, sounds like a cardinal sin after looking at the other threads.

I had true skill on the mystery a few times, that's what brought me up to Bull's Hit. When the mystery is not playing true skill, is there anything I can do to give myself an advantage?

Sorry for all questions, just a rookie looking for a few pointers. If it is not the done thing to ask on here, just let me know and I will shut up.

    Cheers

Ian, you said in your first post you were surprised it wasnt playing better, then you said it offered you Bulls Hit! Thats about as well playing as it gets without getting DM!

I would have definitely played on from there.....wouldn't have been far off...

    Matt,

I guess it was a bit of a contradiction! I thought Bulls Hit would only offer around £15, and I was really after jp of £25 or DM. In the end bottled it and accepted £20 of shots.

I guess I should have played on for longer.

If it didnt block giving you just one shot after you advanced to rebles, you PROBABLY has it that board. D'oh !

Makes me laugh how people get so high up on m/cs and dont realise thats a sign its close to paying out. I so wish you couldn't collect cashpots on ?, would make life so much more easier.

At least next time you will know what to do- once the cashpot is upto £20+ and offering Bullshit and true skill on mystery- DM within next couple of boards- especially on Yabba Darts.

By the sounds of that board, you should have took Bulls Hit and gambled feature! But this is usually the best method to get the second DM- I usually force all out for first then gamble up from a certain feature on Yabba's, works 7/10 for me.
