You bring up an interesting point in the fact that there is definitely less money going through the normal AWP's in an arcade.Originally Posted by bazzadotcom

Problem is many of the typical lo-tec players such as grannies / bored housewives / DSS cheque spenders are shoving their cash into s16's nowadays which is bloody well killing the normal £25 lo / mid tecs in the arcades I regularly visit. Machines are taking soooo much longer to recover after being hammered nowadays. It's really made reading certain machines much more difficult. I'm finding myself having to shark that much less subtlely and really use every trick in the book to turn even a half decent profit on a regular basis nowadays, so personally I wish s16's would just bugger off never to return!
Fair point. But I've got to admit that watching the 'hard core' on these is entertainment in itself. A guy has been playing a Haunted House for 5 days solid near me. He's 6 grand into it and the biggest bank he's had has been £1050 after a close succession of £500 pot off the reels + £500 Gold pot off the linked cashpots on top of the machines.
You *can* have a bit of fun on 1 Haunted house we have which is set to minimum 1p play, takes the bite out of the swift drain of the bankroll that you normally encounter if you are playing s16's.

Kidgloves, how have u got a haunted house set on 1p min stake?
Hows it work / play? What is the max win?
CMS Haunted House is the main reason I have given up playing S16's with any degree of seriousness / cash. It's so addictive, but a complete C**T! - and I could easily have bought one brand new with what i've shoved in them over the last year or so - and yes, I know they cost £5k!!. (It's not funny so stop laughing!)
Pleased to say, bar the odd few quid I've completely given up playing S16's nowadays and am back to concentrating hitting the good 'ol lo-tecs, so hopefully over the next year I should have £5k back in my pocket as 'profit' and not in the back of an effing s16. Wonder how many half decent players there are out there who used to make a decent bit of pocket money on a regular basis on AWP's, but due to lack of self control now usually end up putting that profit into a section16??? What i've learn't is unless you exercise more self control the arcade owner wins YET again........

The options are 1p,2p,5p,and 10p stake on all reels so you are in effect paying in total 5p,10p,25p or 50p a spin.
I've never played it on anything other than max bet 50p a spin, so it could still shaft you quite easily. On this stake max win is £2.50 for each combination win but it does do some nice £17-30 wins quite often. The haunted house feature offers amounts from 50p thru to £2.50 and you only get to pick 10 windows. Jackpot is £50 for all the symbols in view. It's funny that anything £2.50 or over plays the Jackpot tune so you here it quite alot.

You cant moan about the reels, they aren't random, the reels are a visual representataion of what the RNG has decided to let you win, it could put baboons in there for all it matters aslong as it does spin you a win (or feature) to the correct value. Which often wont involve the latter reels so it chcucks in 7's to make it look pretty and make mugs think "oh almost, lets stick another tonne in". Goons.
As for s16, they ar rips offs, but you cant expect to win a certain amount everytime you play on a machine can you? You wouldn't moan "Oh fuck off i've bought £100 worth of lottery tickets and won sweet FA" would you? Because you know it can happen.
When thes tings say random it doest mean "You've got an equal chance of winning £500 as you have of winning £10 or £1 from me"
There are thousands of different numbers (cant remember exactly how much) but (Start my opinion) there will be one which is 500 and probably 75% of the rest nothing, followed by loads of shitty small wins.
just thought i would let you know about my little arcade in northern ireland i visit quite a lot
i have been known to put in a fair few hundered and leave with nothing but since the 15th june i have been doing ok
15th june won £600 in total from a £40 stake on rainbow riches
1st July won another £250 from £20 stake on elvis
12th won another £500 from a £100 stake on cashino
14th won £500 from a £200 Stake on rainbow riches again (gold Pot)
17th (last night) popped in whilst waiting for my food and stuck £20 in elvis first spin nothing then on the second spin 5 pink cars dropped in for a £500 jackpot
think i should leave alone for a while but this arcade is very busy this time of year due to being at the seaside
also last may i took a total of £1600 out of 3 machines with a total stake of £80 but in all im more than likely down overall but maybe my luck is changing
I have managed to find a Rainbow Riches Emulator for the PC at last.
Found it on ebay by searching for Rainbow Riches.
