I've only ever played a Lucky Strike once and it didn't have much afterplay. From these types of machines, a flat £25 either means it is going to pay out huge, or that win was itself, afterplay, meaning it will go dead afterwards.Originally Posted by anfield road
If I get a flat £25 like you did after putting a small amount in and if not backing as well, I'll probably tend to walk as it seems to be afterplay. But if it is backing after £5- £10 and playing well and costs £40 for a flat £25, you can be pretty confident of a £35+ afterplay board pretty soon.
I've found Flash Cash is good for this.
The lucky strike could also have just been dead from someone punting it and taking the max value from each board.
I was once doing one of these in the day and it chucked in a IM so theres obviously a saved for pot.
Are you sure it wasnt an invincible board??

I was sharked on Sunday on the Pier at Western Supermare it was the first and the last time. I am not a big gambler and just dabble on the odd machine and tend to take all the wins it offers and not force the machines as I do not have the float usually.
I had put in what I thought was a fair amount in a happy Bullion Bar won £7 and put it back in so not big money...but the entire time a guy was either wandering past to see what I was doing or standing a short distance away.
A mate of mine had invested on some sort of bar x near me when we first went in, and when he left the machine ...before his arse left his seat this guy ran in to play, but the weird thing was he was not alone he had a boyfriend who when given the nod ran over to take over the machine....they almost instantly won an amount and left it. It was as if one guy was the scout/lookout and his boyfriend the player...thing was it did not look discreat at all they might as well of tatooed shark on their forehead.
Having learnt what this guy was up to a just tried to ignore him, which was impossible, a played won and lost and ended up leaving £5 -£10 short max. But as soon as I finished and walked away I found him hiding behind a machine behind me to run in as 'uncasually' as he could.
Has anyone known of sharks being removed from arcades, pubs, casinos for their anti social behavior as I will not go back there again due to the bad taste in my mouth it leaves, if sharks do this enough to enough people they could empty the arcade, and from what I could see he was spending pennys in there and pissing people off. If he was sucessful I assume he would empty lots of machines and as a result leave regular's with nothing to win..putting them off going - knock on effect to business.
Having lost just a small amount I left fumming and had to be dragged away before I punched him.

Give a man a pound and he can gamble for a minute! Give a man a bag of pounds and he will be skint in minute!
I've never actually seen such scum sharks being removed from premises, but they certainly have stopped me going in a few places again because not only did I feel like I was being sharked, but also very uncomfortable having some tramp leering over my shoulder.Originally Posted by XGoldenGameX

I lived in w-s-m for a while around 12 years ago and everyone i knew played machines and were sharks. In the winter most stood in the arcade doorways waiting for pickings. Even i use too shark the "double up nudgers "and "line up's" greatest machines ever but i use to walk in and look at the tubes most of the time , not stand around watching.
