    Default Technique....

Am I the only one on here who, despite the random nature of the s16's, actually quite enjoy them?

Firstly - with the huge payout percentage on most of them, they are without doubt the easiest machines to shark.

Secondly - with what can only be described as 'sensible' playing, it's usually a given that a small profit can be taken.

I want to point out that I've never won the £500.

    My 'win slightly' method is as follows;

    Find a busy arcade.
Find some mug ploughing notes into one of the machines (Elvis is my favourite!)
Keep half an eye on it, whilst 'slowly' playing something else
Wait until the machine has claimed a good 40 sheets off the player, then start plotting the kill.
If I can see somewhere in the region of £40.00 has been lost by any-one-player, I'll study double-hard their fortune on what I would expect would be their last tenner or so.......
Generally speaking, most people run out of money at some point and on the back of a resonable loss, don't want to hang around to watch some other mug nicking their money!
Steam in - usually with a £50.00 float for the S16's, play 20 lines and then - and here's the genius of it!

The moment I'm 'up' on the £50.00 - walk away.

I have, in the past, walked away with £51.00 and at times, I've more than doubled it.

If I win first spin, I'm out of there - if not, I'll play with the £50.00

It's a pure game of 'luck' and at £2.00 a spin, it quickly becomes a loss making exercise.

I can't find any entertainment in these games at all, but for a quick tenner, I've found nothing better.

Although on one occasion, I did manage to lose all fifty. I didn't get any wins until I was about £30.00 into it, and then the wins were only putting my float back to about £35/£40 - not near my 'walking away point' of £51.00+

I'd like to point out also that only recently have I become a regular 'shark'

    Covert of Bristol.

Are people really this sad that they go and sit in an arcade and watch people lose money to shark them??

You might as well if you are sharking a machine that requires no skills.

And, as I said in my original post..

It's whilst playing something else that I get to shark.

And what's wrong with trying to out-smart someone else?

    That's the gamble.

    You fool.

    They are RANDOM

Watching someone put in 40 and win nothing doesnt mean you are GUARANTEED to get a good win, even within £100

Ive seen a few grand go in these many times before they drop the JP.

Stay away, and as for your technique....sorry but its balls.

How in the name of Elvis' dead bollocks can you possibly shark a random machine?

It's like watching someone throw a dice a few times without a six coming up, and then "sharking" them whilst proclaiming to the world, "A SIX IS DUE! A SIX IS DUE!"

Moreover, £50 is absolutely fuck all in the world of S16s, these things work on the law of averages, which with the £500 jackpot and the multitude of smaller wins, even themselves out over many thousands of spins, costing many thousands of pounds.

You've been lucky up to now, nothing more.

Hey, if I've just been 'lucky' then so be it.

As it stands, it's working for me at the moment.

Maybe the 'random' nature of my gambling is in tune with the random nature of the machines!

    Anyway, Elvis isn't dead yet.

Oh, as a complete aside, I understand that the lease on a building in Bristol (the one where Mad Harry's is) is up for renewal.

From what I can gather, the lease is likely to be sold for a heathly wedge to a development company, (who would then also own everthing in that block down to the Beirkeller) and are looking to then sub-let the buildings, if that is the case, then there is every chance that the Harry Amusement's site will become vacant.

It should be a cash-cow, if it's properly managed, such as getting rid of the defunct lazer tag game Quasar, getting staff in there who know their arse from their elbow and refusing to admit anyone if a fake burberry cap.

Anyone ever thought of owning their own site?

You're not outsmarting them, you're just sharking them, watching whilst playing the other machine 'slowly'. I think it is SAD.

And posting messages on here at 8.35 on a Saturday morning isn't SAD?

Tell ya son, you want to get out a bit more, try boozing until the early hours on a Friday, you'll not be in such a rush to get online if you've woken up next to a right honey.

No chance of that happening to you then Bristol.....i'd imagine you wake up slumped over the back of an arcade stool, notes in hand. Ever considered jjh might perhaps work at weekends and/or be a student? Can't think of anything worse than a friday night out anyway....full of scruffs, scallies, 40 somethings trying to be 20 and the like. Add the £4 odd a drink on and its a joke. Give me a Monday-Thursday night out any day! Half the price, 10x the better night!

Just to reiterate, you can't shark s16's as they are run from a random number generator (RNG). Its people with this (your) line of thinking that makes these bastard machines so profitable for operators. None of the big AWP players who post about on here or any of the other fruit sites will touch these with a bargepole, barring a few quid here and there. Why? No ultimate control of the outcome. Why go in with the 'I've got £50, hope it comes up trumps' attitude, when you can get onto a decent fruitie safe in the knowledge that to a certain extent succes is there to be had.

    Matt
