anybody been to Rep. of Ireland? re. fruities?

I am lead to believe that Ireland, due to it being a very religious province, has finally in 2005/2006 relaxed the laws on gambling and as such are releasing fruit machines into their public houses. I am also lead to believe that the machines that are being released are Hi-Tech fruit machines which were released in G.B mainland around 5-10 years ago. Anybody been on their jols over there. ireland is a country not a province.

up north you have the bog-standard machines we have here, (they are maybe staggered by a year ..) lots of old vivids and all that crap.

down south you are playing for euros.. profitable due to the lack of savvy the punters have.. (I cleaned 120quid sterling in 35mins last time i was in ROI).

ave seen machines in donegal are but they are quite old machines and arent played that regularly by the locals

I used to live in Southern Ireland and you would find machines in the seaside towns along the coast, there was only one pub I knew of which had a machine in in the town where I lived, but if you went into Dublin there was a huge arcade which had at least thirty (prob more) club machines and s16s. Stuff like PCB, Casino Crazy, Trickshot, Slotto, Cashino e.t.c

There are a few arcades down south now yes, last time i was down i found one in cork which had a crazy fruits, rich geezer and a few others (all club versions) along with an abundance of roulette machines, them machines where you put in your 2p and pull the lever types and a few s16's. And yeah, all for Euros.

When i was in that location i won 20 on a roulette. When i went to collect it out they keyed the machine and hit a certain button. I had my key on me so tried hitting the other buttons to try and key money in, which didnt work unfortunately

North is getting more up to date, bling bling's phil the powers and a few wobblers can now be found. But yeah like alex said mostly a few years old.
