More and more players as of late are tampering with the machine (in the eyes of the landlord) I am already barred from a few places, but do any of you law/law enforcment type know if I am committing an arrestable offence?

I see lots of signs on pub doors suggesting "The landlord has right to refuse service and does not have to give a reason" meaning it gives them a loophole to actually refuse you cos you are always winning the money all the regulars (ie Brainless Provincial Yokels) who have lost all their wages in the machine again!

Its legal but you have to be 18 to enter

No law against keying, its completely legit. Why is it legit? Because its 'read-only' anyway, so you cant modify anything.
Im sure it says somewhere in that post alex did with the new rules and regulations and gamblers rights act thing, that keying is acceptable for you to know the situation of a machine?

You will get barred at the managers discretion, nothing you can do if he does that, but its not an arrestable offence.

This is interesting, the keys are no way near illegal, but you have to remember that the landlords dont know this, and also the socalled yokes dont know this either, if you look at it in there eyes, they loose lots of money, then you go and play the machine (obviously the money we put in is a lot faster as we know what we are doing, a red for example jewel in the crown on mega spins will eat a tenner in seconds with your finger on the start button) so the locals dont realise you might feed a machine thats full about £60 to take out £75, they see you take out lots of money after you 'key' the machine, also landlords think the same. i know of one landlord that knows how they work and that they only tell you whats in a machine (unless you know somthing lol) but tells me not to key machines for the reason above,
any other views???
