Hey guys, just found your wonderful forum and it just inspired me to regail you of a story of mine.

ok so a couple of months ago I was going off to inverness via bristol airport to see some relatives.

Was in the departure lounge and yes, you guessed it the flight was delayed. Entertainment was pretty slim so found a £5 JP simpsons 'homers meltdown' machine. No real intention of anything but just to pass a few hours.

Couple of quid in and im on the board, collected about £3 - 4 i seem to remember. Altho something wasnt right, there was about 7 - 8 quid in the tray and in my naivety I thought someone had simply left their winnings (yeah right).

Thought better about it and carried on realising that of course the hopper was broken and this was a golden opportunity. Kept taking £1, £2 amounds and it spitting out about 7 - 8 quid.

About 20 minutes later I had emptied it for a total of £96! so was well chuffed.

Anyway just thought i'd share that with you and if your in bristol airport departure lounge and you see a simpsons machine give it a try

Welcome bacon, I hope you find this site of interest. Nice one with the hopper, I bet someone had tried 'doing' it and got scared off or something! I remember a machine in Blackpool where the old 10p tube (yes showing my age) was broken and I like a fool told the attendant! Far too honest in those days!

welcome to the site mate, i had the same experience with a 'raise the roof' (dodgy one with mouses)
i hated the machine but it was my day off and thought i would give it a bash, cost me a fiver to get on the board so though fck it cut my loses and take £3, when i took it u could tell that the hopper was broken by the sound, and ooo i had £6, thought thats weird ill try again, took a couple more quid another £3 with 6 pound dropped, mmmm i was likeing this.
anyway i noticed that it was taking around a fiver to get on the board to take a £3 win, so guess what happened when id been doing this for half hour slowly empting machine.... IM board for £50, well so that machine thought.. haha when i paid this out man it made a racket, i thought i better take the money and leave it as i had aound £200 out of it, didnt want to bank it.. but the next day it was off, and then it was changed, oh at least i was £200 better off, thinking about it i made more in that hour, that in a weeks worth of work lol
