The newer batch, Jewel in the Crown, Rocket Money etc...I honestly prefer to play these more than most when I'm out for a drink as they at least have some kind of sliding scale on the value of each feature. Does the 'find the pea' feature have any any kind of auto select best win because it's harsh to follow it yourself. Also, what are peoples views on forcing them for the top? I've always been a recycle man myself on these, I'm not shy about sticking a ton or so in if the worst comes to the worst, but what's an 'average' sum for a top feature? I might try a few forces and see where it gets me.
It always winds me up how rare the features are that go mostly red but it still loses on the hi/lo before you hit a feature exchange point.

Hi kid, i'll split reds into two groups generally.
Forcers - (DNA, X Rated etc)
Features - (Top Giza, Dragon Drop, Jewel in the crown etc)
I make a good profit from DNA with the force/DNA playing style. More often than not i'll end up £40-£50 up, tops are generous. I reckon i've had 15-20 tops on DNA, and maybe 2 have gone for £25. 3 lots of £75 and the rest have been £50s.
With the others, i'll just try and bank up wins. Safe cash usually sees to the effective force on these ones. Granted they can still streak nicely, but they can do so just from taking features. A buzzed one can give good toggles, star choices, find the peas and pick a wins. Before you know it, £40+ is yours for £10-£15 in.
Horses for courses i guess, but as a rule of thumb i'll play them this way. Yeah i'll still force a Top Giza now and then, but the tops are nowhere near as clockwork as DNA.

Yeah, and what's with star choice? I just don't get that shit.
Ready steady go features seem to be no different on red either.

Star choice? A cracker in red....usually good for £15, sometimes up to £22 odd. One of the best red features usually. So long as one has a 6/7 to start with, you are usually quids on.
I'll normally hold the hold buttons after 'ready' flashes on the alpha.....breaks it slightly, makes it a bit easier. Drops slightly slower on red, though if your quick you can get £7/£5 on green. Have had £10 on red before.
Matt
Aye, star choice is a cracking feature imo. often skank 4/5 on green. Got top feature off jewel in the crown the other day and it gave 55, i was well happy. As Matt says, Rocket money, top giza, etc, are all about recylcing wins.
You can make 30 quid in recycling wins, as quick as you can lose 30 quid on reds. so accept the red features when offered!
Yeah but what do you actually have to do on star choice? Just seems like a random load of stars to me!

Well, i'll try give a decent explanation.
On the alpha, there is a row like this:
*** *** *** *** making 4 amounts. It then covers and shows various stars, and you stop it where you think the highest amounts are.
So, if it showed: 54* 4** 62* 3*0 you could expect something around £19 (£5.40, £4 something, £6.20 and £3 something).
In reality, it doesn't really show you all 4 first numbers, so some guesswork is needed. I'll normally go to get two first numbers over £10, and see what the rest brings in. Like i said, i've had £22 before, and it often gives £15+
In green don't expect more than about £3, only give you 60p-£1 a value normally.

The ready steady go feature I actually hit £10 on green yesterday but have only ever hit £5 on red, that's why I couldn't see the benefit of red.

What are you guys favourite machine manufacturers (generally)? cos iv read alot of rosts regaring REDs and it seems as though there popular machines but everytime ive played them ive been stung big time.
I'm not a fan of reds either mate- got stung once badly and never trusted them since- I just stick to what I know best and what suits me, although I often see people playing them who know what they are doing, I just leave Reds for themOriginally Posted by Ding_dong87
