    Default Rules regarding staff

I entered an arcade yesterday which I rarely visit. Found a few machines that were of my liking and proceeded to win a few bob.

I notice the staff watching me closely and I think to myself, 'she must be watching me because she doesn't recognise me and she may think I am tampering/roding.' I take no notice and continue on.

Looking at my watch, I see it's nearly 5pm - shift change time. I was horrified to then find that the member of staff that was watching me like a hawk, takes off her uniform and walks onto a magic 10 and cleans up!

Surely, there must be some sort of rule against playing machines where you work? I know several barmen in the area who aren't allowed to touch the one machine in the pub that they work in, never mind arcade staff being allowed to touch theirs!

Needless to say, I wont be going in there too often. SHARKED OFF THE BLOODY STAFF!

Yes there are fishy players at 5/10, you being a prime example.

doubt it theres any rules when off-shift.

the manager at my local occasionally dapples a few quid and is always on the gaming machines.

Any reputable company would have a clause stating employees may not play the companies machines for fun/profit at any time, under any circumstances.
Obviously this company is less than reputable.
A similar thing happened in my local before I was barred, I complained to the manager but nothing happened, he was obviously too greedy and wanted the salary he paid back in the machines at the expense of customer goodwill.
Confucius say "man who know wombat know more than stupid looking monkey"
Confucius also say "man who know Kebab has 60 inch waist"
Confucius finally add "man may deal, but man may not 'know' deal"

I used to work for a bookies - and playing machines on any of our own premises (be it the branch you work in, or a branch 250 miles away) was a dismissable offence.

Bet it was a Shitleys you went in!

    C*NTS

go back and complain to the manager.
also while you are there approach random punters and ask them if they don't mind the fuckers screwing them twice..

The last time I visited there I was stung very badly on a poker plus (joker poker clone) for a right few bob. This was at 9.30pm, and closing time was approaching and wasn't for walking to the bank again, so left it.

At this point there was me and an old lady in the arcade. The arcade is fairly small and houses no more than 30 machines. I went back the next morning and it was no longer full - either the old lady, who was content on her big 7's, sharked me, or the staff had a go. I know which one I'd bet my cash on. F*ckers.

However, I am not going to complain as they have a set of golden games that are ALWAYS ripe for picking, once a week, £100 profit no bother. Will be staying off the joker pokers and the magic 10's from now on in there.

Pubs are understandable and there is nothing to stp you playing the machines but still they shouldn't shark.

In my local arcade they do not tolerate sharking which I like people ar not aloowed to come in and just stand there play something of feck off

I can understand pubs allowing staff to play as fruit machines are an added bonus, but arcades should not allow staff to play. A mate of mines Mrs is the assistant manager of a local arcade (privately owed), and not even her reletives are allowed to play in there.

I've been in a few 'Cash City' arcades where friends and relatives of the staff blatantly shark.
In one,the son of the manageress [are we allowed to say manageress,or is it sexist?] would sit there all day nursing mugs of tea brewed by his mum whilst waiting for some unlucky punter to do their money.
He would get his mum to put 'out of order' signs on machines that he knew were ready to pay.
He would even sometimes 'help' clueless punters by,eg, nudging in a £2 win when they had an invincible board.
He'd say 'you were lucky, this machine is dead'.
Soon as they walked off he'd pounce and streak it.
