Default clubbers, how goods the ferry run?

ive just started taking up playing club cops n robbers, both the original and the gold versions.

Anyway, ive been considering buying a ticket to stranrear from belfast and back, would it be worth it? Considering they have 4 old versions, a gold and a casino crazy. Last time i was on i couldnt believe how many people i saw trying a bit of a push on them and then having to get off, I was thinking if i was to get the boat over and come straight back i could make a considerable profit.

How much do you lot rekon i would need to have as a float? i was thinking about £400, though i suppose i could make decent money by recycling, going for millionaires row when appropriate, collecting £5-£10 on normal boards and praying for the cashpot to drop in or pushing for it when the time seems right?

Any thoughts will be appreciated, many thanks, Darren

i did the hollyhead to dublin crossing, on the slow boat a while back (4 or 5 hours i think), but all the clubbers were battered. really battered, all the cashpots and reserves were empty, and they had security on board just watching the clubbers. dunno what was going on, but something had been (its not just luck that ALL of the clubbers are battered is it?)

on the other hand the awps, although dual stake (took 1 euro as well as sterling) were mostly flying.

basically i'm saying you may well find you have some stiff competition (sure i remember reading something by smedley talking about pro club players hammering them on boats a while back.) also don't forget that the machines do not come on, and are switched off well out of port. so as alex said, go for a longer crossing if you are considering it. and a £400 float may not be enough. its not hard to carry notes is it?

Didn't chris and his mates use the overnight portsmouth to Spain ferry?, know he also enjoyed the long Scandinavian trips (especailly the newer ones with a casino)

The Seacat vessels to the Isle of Man from Liverpool and Heysham are ok. Usually, a few Globals, Cops & Robbers Gold x 2, and sometimes Barcrests all £250.00's. Not really seen any decent players, just people after a quick steal for more beers or killing time.

Problem is, the Isle of Man is dull and the journey is 2.5 hours or 3.5 hours on the larger boat.

    £400 might not be enough.....

I've tried to push a CnR gold with both pots full and backing before....thought £350 would be enough. Got to about £300 in and the most i'd got to was £75. I had to scarper and bank up some wins, which thankfully got me over £250 back. Highest of those was a £92 millionaires row, though i did get some £30 Hi/Lo wins after. By the way you can't lose in Millionaires row if you didn't know....you can only get fined. Apologies if that's old hat

    Regards

    Matt
