    Hullo Folks,

Does anyone know what happened to this machine after it came out on test a while back, I never seen one but it was quite widespread on fruitie website forums, it was a clone of SRM and AFU etc. If my memory serves me well, it was just before Space Raiders, however, being from a biggish city I'd have thought I would've come across one. If it was a clone of the SRM etc then surely it would have been quite popular, hence I would've seen one by now.

    Cheers,

    Cal

I am not 100% certain, but I think an emptier or illegal method was found for this right after test release so it was withdrawn. I only seen one myself, being battered by the locals.

    Fair do's,

Yeah a few folk said that it had been withdrawn shortly after its test date, does this spell the end for the Hot Stuff series? (Hot Stuff was the first of them wasn't it?) Surely not as they have been immensely popular, I understand Raiders and 'Nova are similar but you can't beat a good ol' SRM, ViP straight clone!

I tend to disagree slightly with the latter part, I don't know if it was just my area but the SRM's seemed to be a lot more unpredictable than VIU / AFU etc, but yeah they are generally fab bandits and i dont think i would tire of them ever, even if they cloned them till the cows came home

    Really?

I actually found SRM's always useful, alot more easier to double than AFU's, found them to be a bit of a bugger. Seemingly AFU had the biggest release of all machines, made the most money etc. I'm sure that Barcrest won't just let them fade away! Fingers crossed anyway!

Woohoo! Another AFU/VIU clone on barcrests website, 'Flash Cash' looks like they have taken out the blue red board and gone with an inner/outer board look though Bit of a shame as I liked the blue/red idea,

On another note it made me laugh when bellfruits tried to use the blue/red board on one of their machines (something to do with cards but cant remember the name), doesnt matter what cosmetic differences they apply to their machines they usually all play poorly with outrageously obvious blocks!

Looks like they've ditched the dual-lamp concept altogether (look at the bonus awards) - maybe they're a bit short of cash and need to save a few quid on the glass production and screening processes

Would hardly be surprising since Barcrest machines are now regarded as being "get the fucking rechip in before we all go bankrupt"
No links to anywhere from me mofos!

Well after a recent encounter with that horrific new space raiders chip i've got some doubts as to how this one is going to play.

Also I would bet me last pound coin that they will release another clone of this later in the year something more based around superman to coincide with the new movie release judging by what they say on their site about starting the new year with a superhero theme.....

Pick of the Pack - and there's still a legit emptier for this machine
