    Default s16 question

having played the s16's for a while now i'm starting to get a feel for them ie which ones to try and which ones to avoid like the plague.....( for a 50 starting stake) monkey business seems to be the one with the best payout ratio (lots of 2-4 wins followed by a few 10-20 wins on an average playing machine) and cashino (occasional 5-10 wins followed by a spin on the roulette (average 30 per spin) obviously this is when they haven't just been emptied or or very happy just a usual play

both seem to give between 30 and 70 payout for around 50 and have imo a better feel about them unlike most of the others which seem to swallow 20-30 before giving at least a 5 which leaves ya feeling like ya chasing ya money and desperate for something bigger which makes ya change more money 'just in case' the biggie is coming!

anyway the question is .... because the winnings go staight to your stake how is the percentage worked out? is it a rolling percentage that calculates as it goes or a fixed percentage on whats actually put in and taken out or even a combination of both? also because the percentage changes if you change ya stake, say you put 10 in and win 100 on 2 quid games @94% then change stake does the 1 quid game register that 100 has been put into it? are they true seperate games? i figure they must be combined percentages because the machine can only hold a certain amount of money and if both stakes decided to pay out around the same time the machine would be emptied.....the reason i started wondering about this is because yesterday i was in an arcade and a voice came over the speaker saying 'you've won 2 jackpots' so i went to see what was going on and some chinese geezer was collecting a 1000 out of 1 machine (lucky b*st*rds g/f won 400 on the machine next to him while it was spewing the pound coins out)

The percentage is worked out by dividing the total won by the total played. Each game is a seperate event, and it's quite possible for these random machines to empty on a regular basis, as every game has the same fixed chance. On some games you can change your stake per line, and the percentage changes as you do so. This is just to give the player visual justification for playing at higher stakes, otherwise they wouldn't if the percentage stayed the same.

It was moved to private forum, as it was seen by some as 'sensitive' at the time. There was some still being done at that time.
