Default Anyone ever discovered a trick/emptier/free win by themselves?

Just wondering if anyone on here actually buys a brand new machine and plays it for hours to try and find out if there is 'anything' on it? How much are we talking if you were to buy a brand new machine- say a Bullseye by BFM or something?

Even if you never found out anything decent, at least you could learn the ins ands outs and all the best signs on them. Once finished, sell the machine and move on to another!

new fruity will set you back about £2300 I think. Second hand market is about £400ish... So you had better find an emptier to get your money back...LOL!

i found out about the £5 jp wildfire plug/emptier i was only able to carry it out because the women doesnt have the slightlest clue in the place it was sighted, even though the alarm goes of like every 5 times you do it!!. ive even convinced her to open an arcade literally round the corner from where i live, shes got the place decorated etc and just organising signs and staff. Hopefully its filled with unchipped superchargeds, royal familys, and of course a donkey kong

Or as Scott says, rent one. I think it would be beneficial on a popular machine that was quite recent and was/is bound to stay around for a couple of years. Knowing the ins and outs of a machine would be extremely beneficial don't ya reckon?

You'd have to be seriously into your fruit machines to go to they lengths in my opinion. If you already have a sound knowledge of each manufacturers traits then it wouldn't take much to get to know a machine well enough to know when to play it and therefore make money from it. The chances are that a clone of it already exists and play pretty much the same.

Most people on the forum will know all of barcrests 'tricks' etc, maybe not so many will be as comfortable with reds or bellfruits. I personally have thought about purchasing machines for personal use, but not so I can learn them and go out and make off them - I'd rather invest the time in something else, something a little more long term.

I am not being critical, as I am sure purchasing/renting a machine could lead to you making a tidy sum, but it seems quite a hassle when most players of us on here are happy with a £100 win here and there, to top up what we already earn.

Wouldn't it be great to have known 5/6 years ago what we know now ragarding popular barcrests, the money that could have been made in the first few weeks of releases such as austin powers and fireball/dosh n pecks would have been frightening. Maybe some on the forum did get the info early and made a tidy sum? Same goes for the vivids of that era, the first person to get a hold of that must have made a fortune.

Betting exchanges are the way to go mate. Loads of ways of making free money, just need a large bankroll.

I have very limited experience in other forms of gambling and so cannot say whether they are better/worse than slots, there's too many factors to weigh up. Others in the forum will have opinions on this matter.

I'd just play fruits as a second (smaller) income. I actually got a rather nice surprise today, random spinner was still switched on in local arcade at 5.30 after I arrived back from Uni.

Playing it cool, I didn't immediately jump on it (The staff know me well and know my opinion on these s16's) so tried some other things round about and then thinking that I'd go on random spinner and if queried by the staff as to why I was playing s16's I'd just say 'I fancy a change'.

Gutted to discover that the random spinner was switched off half an hour later, I slump in my seat while playing aftershock.

Good part to the story is the the main competition in the area are now barred from all 4 arcades as they were caught doing these. NO FUTURE COMPETITION FOR ME! Unless my area get infiltrated with strangers

Lol, happy days mate- how long before they bar you though hey if you clear up on them!

John, I'd like to hear some of the ways on how to make easy money on the exchanges- I've found the only benefit is that you can bet when you like and how much you like with no bookmaker suspicious of your every move.

I've heard of horror tales when people offered to back a horse with £10,000 to win in running at 1.01- standing to make £100 only for it to get pipped at the post! On the opposite end I have seen odds of 1000/1 been offered by someone to lay a runner (£10 stake) and the horse went on to win the race- and the odds were taken so some poor soul lost £10,000 trying to win £10!

I think though a lot of money is made by people in the 'know' when it comes to the non runner reduction factor. If you know a horse is gonna be pulled out in advance then you can lay a horse- your risk will be reduced by 20-30% then they could back the horse before the odds shortened. Other than that, the betting exchanges are not the money making dream everyone thinks. I just use them cos I'd rather give me losing bet stakes to someone else like me rather than a bookie lol.
