    Default Cat's away...

The wife is disappearing to Costa del drongo on a hen bash from Sun thru Wed.
That leaves me on half term in charge of lots of delinquent pound coins.
I can see me hitting the puggies for old times sake. Why I can even see myself having a good all dayer just for the hell of it.
I'll be like the smoker who has cut down to almost quitting then having a massive 40 a day session.
I wonder whether I'll feel like an amateur, staring aghast at the revolution of new hardware, I wonder whether I'll find anything I know how to play.
I wonder whether they'll still give me vip status at the arcade and actually come up and ask if I'd like a soggy sausage roll and a cup of tea which has been spiked with a "play Slotto" pheremone.
Bah, I bet I've been downgraded to 'always have to ask for a drink' and 'sorry got no notes despite taking £600 off the old dear doing her pacemaker on Slotto'.
Discipline.....that's what I need....calm that euphoria of wanting to play everything and anything when first entering. Can't get the coins in fast enough....must wait for something to try. Don't spend £30 on Partytime waiting for the £10jp Spiker.
On the other hand, I could just stay in and play poker....save the time, effort and petrol money and all that....but hey..you need a change now and again.
I'll probably take a massive hit, usually do in these cases of full on sessions, wonder why I didn't just stick the £200 on top pair top kicker and hope for the best. Wish me luck.

if its a one off go for it eh you gonna be doing leicester city centre then? I will stay away today then lol..

I lost £60 in an unchipped Barmy Army last night due to drunkeness so thats prolly a good bet.. in High Cross (Yes, the LS next to it is chipped).. plus I broke the refill key slot so if you put your key it in will just turn and turn :/

Theres actually some quite good machines in town eh.. good luck
Why has it come to this?

Nah, Leicester ain't my thing Scott....prefer the arcades anyway and don't go in Hollands on principle of being barred from his other site. Thomas's is covered so that leaves that time warp of an arcade up near the train station. I'll more than likely be heading up to Notts and seeing the olds combining that with some hit n run spots over the space of a couple of days.

Poker is the way to go, but an all day "blast from the past" slotting session probably would give you the final kick ( if needed) to quit fruits.

Though poker isnt always a bed of roses either, i had 2 all-ins preflop playing NL cash game on Laddies, in both i was massive favourite ( AA v AKs & QQ v TT ) but lost both. Did the sensible thing then and turned laptop off....

'One last session' for old times sake is how you get hooked in again lol

The state of play right now is not so great anyway with shitty streaks on even Barcrest stuff.. Reds pay big if you catch em right and as for the other manus they are prtty much producing coin eating machines..

Not a whole lot of unchipped machines about round here either :/

I can't understand this 'poor time to play' attitude.

I got back into the swing of things recently and have to say that there is just as much to play now as there was 2 years ago in my opinion.

Granted BFM and Global are still churning out the usual rubbish but Barcrest and Red Gaming are possible more active than ever and there is almost too much to keep on top of in my opinion.

I dont find that, I find a big lack of interest lately due to 'non-talk' as in I do have alot of contacts and what not, but like previous topics things such as EVERYBODY but your dead grandma these days knows how to 'force' a machine and thats mainly the way for barcrests these days, and seen as though alot of machines after 2003 run on BC technology its not hard is it?

Especially the new cabs and profiles its absolute shite, fair enough there's a few things going about LS, POTP etc. but all manu's are just shite these days, they know what we've been doing these past 5-10 years, and now they're turning it around?

"players" putting in £40-70 to get a streak of £75, at least a £5 profit? You think how much has gone down the 'BACK'... £40-70, nice profit IMHO... FOR THEM!

Regardless, todays outtake on machines AND locations is just pure shite! But thats just my opinion?

    James,

Respect your opinion obviously, i think the problem for me personally at the moment is constraints on time due to the usual work & family issues etc, this is where online poker scores as its a lot easier to fit in around the other stuff.

I think i lot of the folk who are in the " fruits are dead" frame of mind ( including me ) probably havnt had a good look around for a while, and while we are in that negative frame of mind its hard to get motivated to get out round the locations.

    Dave

ps: positive outcome from that news you texted me about ?
