Default How much should you put in after a JP?

Back in my younger days I always used to collect JP, and basically run . However in the last few years i've found myself losing profit through trying to find out if its going to streak, IM etc.

My general rule is to continue playing and see what the next board gives. The problem with that is when the next board costs £7-8 etc. I find once i've put 3 quid in, i'm pot committed even if its offering shit all.

To be honest, the only reason I put a few more quid in is from stories off this and other sites regarding mammouth streaks, etc

If you consider that half the time you get your money back (ie, 3 in, 3 out), that leaves you needing 1 quick repeating IM or JP, per every 5 times you put back in (given a £5 loss on each lose as if to say).

From personal experience, its more like a IM or repeat 1 in 20!!

    Any views?

Yeah but I had a PYP £5JP giving the streak but taking £3-£4 for every board and the streak was a full £40 therefore I was up around £5 now that whats makes me feel I have to get the next board even if it takes £10.

I mean after the £ goes in I think well its due a board and hopefully I will try to get my £5 back
Its only on loannnnnnn, its only on loaaannnnnn in Athens Grace will bring it back hommmmmmmmeeeee.

it depends on what you are playing. and what your like at gamling ie what you know about the machines. me my self if i'm going out on a run then i will only play the machines that i know about which lucky for me is a few. when you play these machines week in week out you pick up on what the machine is offering and how its playing. So in answer to you question if you know the machine you can normally tell with the first two boards

True, it usually depends how early the jp came as well. If I get jp off £5 in, then I'll leave it, but if I put £30 in for the first jp, I'll be looking at a couple more boards to see what is available.

It is a good question though, cos I have often lost a tenner's worth of profit just testing to see how well a SRM is playing after first SRM or jp...

Different machines play differently after the first pot, as Anfield Road says £5 PYP can cost 4 quid for each board which is IM, but on a 25 if I got say 25 first board not repeat, I will always try another board to see what is offered. PYP is progressive so you cant lose really, but Red's you can put alot in, but you should know whether its a natural pot of manipulated pot, barcrests and the rest are alright as you get to know the tell tale signs, BFM are the ones that give pot then tempt you with 15 quid and then die die die!!!

Machines used to chuck you back into the feature easily within the next £5 which was always always a good sign that it was going to IM or be JP. Nowdays though I see random things happening. I Played a BC not so long ago and it went JP then dead board where I took £2rpt this repeated and then next board went IM

The answer to your question is "how long is a piece of string"
You decide how much to put in if someone on here said you must always put £30 more through the machine after JP would you ??

This must be a chip lol but hey if it streaks aint a bad chip

Reds - If it costs £10 and your not on the board after a streak leave. I'll gaurantee it'll be a dead board and could take another £10 - £15 to get on. If it only went for £25 chances are there could be another streak in there, obtainable by either number runner or SSS (first sentance still applies however).

Barcrests - I always give these two or three boards after a streak, often cheap jackpot via SNW or possible streak if mega streak was free(SRM AFU VIU) others often offering knockout skill, Good times etc.

Mazooma - At least the one's I play if streaking seem to like you taking a win on the first board back on and then i've seen IM's or simple play to the streak.

Bell fruits - Don't really play so would love any advice on how these streak.

Suppose it's all relative to how much you play, if you don't play much it seems daft to try most machines on as you'll end up decreasing your profit substantially. For those who play alot and can afford it, that £10 seems like a resonable risk to take (or at least to me)

Usually drop a good £80-£100 streak every now and then- impossible to force out with any certainty due to blocking software and unpredictability.

Some Bell Fruits can be progressive then block at certain amounts, this usually means a streak is far away. I usually find BFM streak out of nowhere. A couple of times I have had one playing well, then suddenly go dead for £15, then next board drops in a £90 streak from top feature! Almost like a quite before the storm.
