    what u on about?
what do *you* think the "nudge and hold" system does?

I am a fan of the nudge let-em spin system, or the hold-swapping system...

    Hi,

Well from what I understand, you start by nudging down something that the machine doesnt expect you to do.

For example say the 3 reels show 7-bell-cherry ... with two 7s above the bell & cherry, with the machine giving you just 1 nudge. Here, the FMC expects you to bring down one of the 7s (probably the middle one), so instead, you nudge down the left 7 as this totally unexpected.

If the FMC offers you a hold, I understand you ignore it, and the machine will throw in a winning line to 'reset' itself.

I'm sorry if Im wrong here, I most probably am, its just something I read and was wondering if this works, or whether I'm wrong and does the correct way of doing this work? lol.

    Cheers, Steve.

It wont reset itself, your just playing the machine the way its wants you too. You can use these systems to a massive advantage.

Well, using different methods using this system can get you on the board quicker. IE: Spotted dick anyone?

If you know how to get on the board quicker then do it, also when forcing on some machines you want to be able to get on the board then kill yourself asap, only on some machines though.

    Danny,

We have 'Spotted Dick' at the local golf club. It's a 4 reeler with a 5p play. Do you know how to use this system effectively on it?

PM me if you'd rather certain things be kept under raps. I'm after knowing a bit about this machine because I'm often up the club.

    Cheers, Steve.

Just to amend Danny's comment on this - this is known most commonly as 'let 'em spin' or 'don't hold any' and most machines will nowadays say that on the display if it does offer you holds after nudges. It may also say 'okey dokey, roll 'em'

The most important thing to note here is that you MUST have TWO of the same thing on the winline eg cherry - cherry - bar or if the particular machine requires you to obtain three symbols IN VIEW to get on to the feature board then you must have two symbols in view for this to work. These can be in any order. On some machines with a numbered trail, getting 3 numbers in a row awards feature and in those cases you can leave two numbers on the winline and this will work.

If this doesn't explain clearly enough there are plenty of websites around that will explain if you do a search on google or something.

When spinning to get on to the feature board, you should try to get bonuses (4 if a numbered trail) when given nudges or holds, and if you cant get a bonus or a fruit win or on the feature from the nudges, then use this trick as a last resort. It doesn't always award let em spins but like I say, its better than having 3 mixed fruits.

Something else you may not know is that when you have a bonus, try holding down the cancel button because sometimes this will slow it down so that it isn't random - this way you can choose whichever bonus will benefit you the most.

All of these are commonly known tricks and aren't the kind of thing people will withold from you, unlike some methods / emptiers. Try using the search button for tips and advice there's a hell of a lot of info on most machines!

    Hope this has helped.

    Mike
