Was doing a GBC yesterday, after getting SSS then going on the board it gave Mega Streak - and went for £90. Next bonus SSS, hit JP. However after i got JP it allowed me to keep holding the reels on the next credit with the JPs on the winline, it kept doing this over and over.

When i pressed collect,the machine didnt pay out a single nugget, to which i was not surprised. I presume the machine must have been left in test mode.

The point is though, when i called out a technition from Leisure Link, he said the machine owed me £20 and not the £150 odd i was claiming:


Do I have any rights to claim the full amount?

Have never experinced this before so if anybody has any useful info of where to take it from here please post back.

There's a company called IBAS (its a company which deals with betting queries), not sure if it includes Fruit machine rights, but they maybe the people to see.

when i get a bank of over £20 say, i always call an attendant to watch it then if something was to go wrong then they have to pay you the full amount there and then - if you had done that, they by law would have had to pay you

Yeah mate its a shame but I dont think you have any come back on stuff like this at all.

Contrary to popular belief there is no official rules on fruit machines by law other than that the ones with more than an £8JP I think cant be played by under 18's.. as far as I know the Gaming boards 'rules' on them are simply guidelines and are not very well enforced by law.. most manufactures simply follow them to avoid possible trouble.

Doesnt sound like it was left in test mode as you would certainly have noticed earlier i.e you can not lose any gambles on it when pressing cancel at same time as hi/lo button and you can slow down anything (Number 4 bonus and bonus from hi low only obviously) but you probably would have noticed you can nudge any reel at anytime as far as I recall.

No way is anyone going to believe it paid out £150 so I personally think you are fucked :/

Sounds more like just a big streak to me as I have seen them go this high before its just VERY rare.

Did is stop offering the hold the win on Jackpot after a couple or continue to do it? If so it was probably something wrong with the machine..

All in all pretty bad but I would be very surprised if you saw anything come of it..

You would have probably noticed aswell that it didn't start to automatically pay out any wins which went over the £75 bank.

If it is there in the bank then yes you could probably claim it if it didn't IOU and say the amount then no there is sod all you can do.

I have lost many £20's to note acceptors only for the engineer to be called out and the next day be told that the floats where balanced and there wasn't an extra £20

damn machines on test lol i found a c4 on test after sticking a quid in, took jp and that was all then called the attendant to witness it not paying out, called the technician and i got the £25 only to find that i was barred next time i walked in as i 'knew' it was on test maybe so but they didnt know that

The way I see it is that on Fruities we have NO FUCKING RIGHTS at all and doubt we ever will - as how many times have you got the money and being barred or not got the money and still got barred?? I have being barred from everywere in Llandudno and Towyn! because all the arcade owners are fat smelly twats, But I do like the odd one as there sound in a few places but 9/10 are pricks

So put a couple more quid in and went and got the manager of the pub, then took the JP in front of her. She saw that I had won at least £25.

Tech took 4 hours to arrive by which time we were in another pub. Specifically told her to phone us when the tech arrived, but what a surprise she didnt bother. She claims to have told him we won at least £25.

Been in touch with the management at leisure link and am awaiting a response. Gonna put it in writing, but as you say there is fuk all chance im seeing any money back.

Its about time something got done about it.Its hard enough to make cash these days, without some of your profits being robbed.

this has happened 2 me once or twice, i had £50 in the bank, didn't pay me out a penny and i called the attendant b4 i collected it and they said they couldn't do nothing coz it was in test mode, not a very happy bunny

All the owner is due to give you when a m/c is on test mode is your money back! that u put in, but if you've got the gift of the gab you may be able to get all owed - pubs only though - arcades know.
