When you find out something you want as much value out of it as poss this usually means knowing it before most others and getting as much time as poss with it before some thick b@stard opens their trap.

Ok i know for me to find something out someone has opened their trap and that when i get it someone higher in the chain has been doing it for a while but why do people insist on harming a potential source of income for themselves.

Basically think folks before you post.

If you knew that on the back of every lamp post in the country was a twenty pound note would you:

A. Go straght onto the internet tell everyone, post on tons of forums so by the time you have left your computer everyone is out getting these £20 leaving you with none and killing the source of income for you.

Or

B. Keep shut, be discreet, tell no one and live off this income.

But on a serious note, I totally agree. Please keep this kind of information to yourselves, so it keeps some interest in this forum and it doesnt make good knowledge public knowledge.

Make the most of what you know, by sharing with others privately for trades, thats the best way to go about it, then you will find out something else about another machine and your trader will find out something too.

I found one of those Lucky Strikes last night- £20 in and most offered was a pound and one feature! So it looks like this trick was public knowledge long before the post was made.

But I agree, if people know something, there is no sense in spreading it to everyone, I know I'd keep it for myself anyway.

All I hope now is that our local gets a Lucky Strike!

Well yeah fair enough, I know plenty of things I could post on these forums, but I don't do that because:

1) It's a bit a fucking stupid to do that.

2) The info was given to me in good faith and on the assumption I wouldn't splash it on the forums.

In this case though, the thread was already on the forums (and had been for nearly a full day), the trick is pretty well known already anyway, and the thread was completely deleted with no warning or information from the moderators whatsoever, which snips me right up.

So you see it as fine to spash one set of info around that has been shared in private by several members of this forum before it was posted in good faith with each other but others that is passed to you in good faith you keep private....you must understand the dual standards in your points.

Decided, out of curiosity to have a gander at this fruitforums, see wot its like. No wonder nothing get deleted, talk of emptying party time arenas with a set of car jump leads? WTF????

Aye sure, wait there til I jump behind the arenas and set it all up, regardless of floor walkers, security and CCTV all being in operation. Aye, that's sure gonna work.

There was some useful stuff on there, from a few years back but it was posted by a user of this forum, and I'm sure it'll be on here somewhere anyway.

Another one that made me laugh, the radio transmitter trick on party times, setting each one to correspond to each number of player i.e radio one for player one... There must be some right twats posting over there, and I hope for his sake that he wasn't being serious. If he believes that then he needs his head checked.

Theres a good set of people over at FF, the place does have an anti player feel as most there are ex/current addicts. Some good stuff there (non fruity related i mean and the ovious emulation side of things). I go there more than any other website.

Yeah well at least I did you the courtesy of sending you a PM explaining exactly why I removed the avatar, and I only did that after receiving quite a number of complaints from other members at FF. (And let's face it, at 99% of internet forums, an animated gif avatar portraying hard sex acts would be deleted within minutes, and quite likely get you a warning or even banned. I also seem to recall you had a bestiality avatar for quite a long time booked, and no one censored that )

As for the accusation of double standards, my good faith in not posting the info I have is based on respecting the wishes of those who gave me that info in the first instance, however, when a trick is posted in public view on the forums and left for nearly 24 hours before being deleted, the idea of then deleting the thread starts to look a bit stupid.

I think you'll find that most of what gets posted in "Emptiers and tricks" is people taking the piss (i.e. "Can you believe what shit is being sold now?" type stuff) - and where someone does genuinely believe a load of crap, other members will point it out to them pretty sharpish.
