    Default Brainiac

    Hi everyone.
I was watching Brainiac on Sky last night when it showed them trying to get free plays on Barcrests' Golden Dragon using the coin on a string method. Anyway, to cut a long story short it failed by taking the coin and giving no credit. It then showed a shot of the reels and they were from 'Carry On Screaming'. What a schoolboy error!!!

My question is... would the same happen on a note acceptor? i.e note on a string taking note and not giving credit.

P.S. I don't condone fraud but was just interested in the theory.

No way would it work. What will happen is you will cause a note jam andyour string will get stuck!! Try explaining that to the barman when you want your money back
Any time you aggressively play seven deuce off suit, the universe will bend the laws of short term probability in order to re-balance the long term probability abuses by those trashy players who only play premium hands

It will cause a note mech strim alarm which is very loud as I am sure you are aware and it cannot be turned off without opening the door to release the jam.. so your machine will be out of action till an engineer comes out.

Lots of them are still apparently susceptable to using a coin on a rod to stop the one-way latch from locking after the coin has fallen through it. How you are gonna get away sticking a rod into a machine is another matter.

Are Barcrest new cabs coin mechs fucked up or something?!
I have like 11 fake pound coins from one machine last night and these are OBVIOUS as hell fakes.. the old school lead ones eh.. I am guessing the owners got em behind the bar and then figured theyd just fill the machine with them and take legit ones out of the coin box and no one would be any the wiser cus no way could I get it to take them back in again..
Why has it come to this?

I've noticed this recently- the machine will pay them out but not accept them back on another machine! It wouldn't surprise me if the owners got all their fake coins they recieved and used them to do refills. In fact, that is the only possibility, as the machine cannot accept them when you try to use them for credit-

Its funny this should be brought up right now, as I was playing a FMF other day, got jackpot twice within £20, about £48 in bottom, it wouldn't take ONE of them, yet a pound from the till straight in. Very frustrating putting 48 pounds in for them to drop straight through, arm aches too

I'm one of those people who feel if you have credit in then there is more chance of let 'em spin and shit ((I know it doesn't but it makes me feel better )) and there's nothing worse than those pounds just falling straight through! LOL

I feel the same when it comes to repeat chances, would always rather have credit already in the machine, rather than having to put some in and then try to hit it.

Obviously if its gonna give it then it will, but it's a psychological thing.
