Default Around the World in 40 Days, Mazooma! F**KING SHOCKING MACHINE

Stuck in a few quid at pub in town, backing after 3, getting good wins and looking like a potential good profit winner. £80 quid down not even a hint of a jackpot, best i got was the Canadian flags for a fast cash win, £8.

    Gutted! Stay well clear folks!!

This is a funny machine I think. My mate was playing this, and he put at least 70 quid in and didnt get the jackpot, and that was backing. When he'd finished I put 7 quid in, and by taking everything that the machine offered me I ended up with 54 quid, I didnt get the jackpot once. I did offer to give him the money I'd won back, but he said if I hadnt of won it someone else would, and wouldnt take the cash, I felt guilty.

Was the machine not offering you good money on the board?

not really £3-£4 and the very occassional £8. Dont see the point in having an extra life on this machine either, 2 mysteries and you're killed. even the centre board is pathetic. you hardly get any let em spins either.

Tip for any bar owner, get this machine in your pub, you'll make a mint!

I think the example by apduk shows the strong anti force software on these machines- similar to what can be seen on BFM too.

Is there a coincidence- £70 in for £54 out- that is exactly 78% payout!

Although you must have caught this machine really badly if ther was no jackpot after £80! Where you forcing? If so, you should have tried to claw some back some money after you realised the machine was blocking the jp- the payout % is still manipulated, it is just the value of the wins that is blocked, so you can take advantage and redeem some wins without even taking jp- as apduk shows.

yeah i was forcing and getting f*cked off at the same time, true i could've played for small wins and built up a bank but i went for the all out jackpot and lost. Would you say all new machines that are coming out are like this now? Does it have an IM?

I think this anti-force code is seriously fucking cheeky, when the machine is due to pay a jackpot, it should pay it, actively increasing the block on high wins/JP when being forced is way out of order IMO.

If you think about it, if it "knows" when it's being forced, then it "knows" that whoever's playing is likely to plough in a lot of cash until they either get a JP (which will not likely repeat/streak) or run out of cash completely. Hence it can afford to play shit because it "knows" what's going on.

As such, the machine is basically milking the forcing player so it can save up lots of nice mid-sized wins for the next punters to come along, making itself look a lot nicer and happier than it really is, and making up for a piss poor 70-odd% payout.

Mind you, TBH, anyone who forces a Mazooma/BFM without knowing if it's likely to respond well to it needs to have a serious word with themself anyway

I've got a BFU that NEVER streaks!!....never thought i'd see a 'crest' like this (on 80%!!). Costs about £15 when full for darts marathon which goes for £25-35 then thats it, £2 and dead boards follow

AFAIK none of the Hellraiser+clones and BFU/Yabba Dabba have a "traditional" saved-for streak in them.

Hellraiser+clones do have a saved for "extra" top streak (straight £25) that will come round as and when it's ready, and if you're lucky you will get that at the same time as your forced jackpot/top streak to make something resembling a proper streak - but then again the extra streak will pay to anyone when it's ready to do so and is independent of everything else that's going on.

In the case of BFU/Yabba don't know if they do anything similar with a saved for "extra" pot, but AFAIK they also don't have a "true" streak, if played badly for a while and/or you know what you're doing it is possible to double-JP them and take a bit of afterplay, but even then it's not a BFM-style "dump streak".

I think of all recent Crests in this vein as very similar to mid-late 90s JPMs ins ome respects, no streak as such, but respond well to clever play. Then again, you'd never want to force a JPM of that era, but the new Barcrests won't burn you too badly if you do that, and will often leave you with a bit of profit.

You can take advantage of this though, especially if the machine is waiting to payout but refusing to give jp because of blocking software.
