    Default Norfolk

Spent the last week in said county on the coast.
I used to have this idea it would be great to live on the coast somewhere with an abundance of arcades, all that choice...not like spending 3 hours in your local inland city joint and everything is done or dead and wondering what to do next.
How wrong could I be ? I didn't make a profit anywhere, at anytime...and jeez, some of the machines were just well, plain warped in terms of profile or program.
It all started going downhill on a Joker Poker, full from the off and I'd played a few quid through other machines to realise it wasn't a refill. Promising signs, nice gambles upto the £3 mark and acouple breaking the £7.50 bar.
About 10 mins into it I noticed a hand written sign stuck to the top of the unit..."Win a bonus prize if you get a Jackpot witnessed on this machine by a member of staff". That made me suspicious straight away.
Sure enough, after gambling everything for the next £70 I finally got a win that looked like it was going somewhere...lots of nice cards or crap cards with swop card available. I gambled upto £15 and got a 9 with swop card available..great I thought, refused the swop and went higher and....lost. Only the second time ever I have lost off a swop card...must be just bad luck, but no....the next 3 £15 gambles all lost...2 off swop card and one off a 3 for a 2.
The machine really was buzzing its tits off but wouldn't go the extra mile to the JP. In the end I rotated for a while collecting on dodgy cards to claw back some cash...the 'bonus' prize was a bottle of wine..great..you win that only if you beat a rigged program where Jackpot bias is virtually nil.
A couple of small town arcades in less touristy places were also terrible...staple diet was starter..Golden Games..main course..Section 16's..dessert..Party Times Galore...very depressing to say the least.
I did have some limited success (luck). an Addams Family in a pub was happy to gamble upto £12 on the cash side before offering Mega Adams Family for £50...never did learn what order to take stuff to maximise that and then gave a meet the neighbours for barcode next board.
Most fun was had getting all the high scores on spot the difference deluxe in another pub just to leave our mark in Yarmouth.
Worst mistake was playing a Pure Madness that was seemingly full from the off to get 3 features in £120 with a max of £5. Then to hit collect and put money back in to find it still is backing...dodgy hopper alert..sure enough I collect the next £20 of winnings and it is empty...just my luck.
Most annoying miss...a Magic 10 next to me which spilled a £75 worth of 7's after 2 credits. (My Magic 10 was as dead as a doornail as you would expect).
Anyway...still glad I don't play all the time anymore...poker is the way !!

Yeah, well I did get a few games of 'consolation' poker in the hotel rooms after taking a financial battering if you know what I mean.

liquor in the front, poker in the rear!!

Stew, even if KG had played it and it did "show" then there is a good chance he would still have lost. If its the show that I think ur talking about.

I've had this show and it's cost me to get them in. I'm not entirely convinced by this thb. I had a nice convo with someone from the Midlands on these, I'll PM u wot he told me if u like.

Joker poker was mentioned earlier, I remember whenever u got a swap card u automatically thought guaranteed gamble, lower than a 3 etc, this is not the case anymore, I've been bumped too many times. Lowering a 4 on this seems to work well

Did you go into the showboats in King's Lynn or anywhere in Hunstanton?
