Getting ziggy with it, did i do wrong??

Hi I'm new, not new to machines but i've realised all the time I have been playing I been playing completely wrong, in fact I have been one of those mugs who "recycles" there money, but hey this site is educating me so thanks guys and girls (wherever the other girls maybe!).

Anyway with my new founded knowledge I went to the pub today to play "getting ziggy with it", it was playing well, getting on the board at least every £2, so I decided to "force" it, which was real hard for me to turn down what appeared to me, to be good features and I kept going also turning down cash (3X£10, 2 stack, 1 cashpot, and one red £15), it started going hot and cold killing me off straight away a few times then the next minute giving me extra lifes etc (confusing!), eventually I got to £25 (after sticking £30 in all together) and I gambled low on a 10 and reached megastreak (NOT red though) so I took that, expecting over £25 and it still only gave me £25! Is this just the way it goes or did I do something wrong?

And is taking £15 when its red, better than taking a straight £25?
Help really appriciated!

Anyway, after forcing a mega streak try and go for smaller wins such as hi lo cash on red, which is often £11 for example.

This is a difficult one, I've been stung a few times like this on this machine. To have got the mega streak after £30 was pretty good- what you need to do now is play on and try and get some after play. Most people think that after a machine has paid jp, then it is finished, but if it is fired up, you should always get a few good boards after a jp.

By the way, how did you go lower on a 10 to get the mega streak- is the mega streak on the cash side of the hi lo board too, as well as the feature one?

By the way, even if the mega streak is red, it can still give you £25 if it wants too.

Hi jjh, Thanks, urm the megastreak was above £25 on the cash stack, After I got jp, I put in another £5 I think it put me up twice put killed me off real quick, really I was just satisfied with getting mostof my money back.....actually who a I trying to fool....I wanted more!
The other machines in there was pick of the pack (bf), hillbillionaire (bf) and x-rated (red), and I 've read to avoid BF's so I did, and xrated I just dont like for some reason,proberly coz i've never won on it! lol.

hi again jjh, just checked out that link, I already read that last night, thanx neway tho. whats the super skill stop allabout tho, if u dont mind me asking...well I know wot skill stop is...where it goes round the +2cash +2feature, extra bonus etc, and u stop it on which one u want, and slow it down using cancel....so wots sss? is it when u normal skill stop so many times then when u land on it again it goes to sss and wot does it do?

sss is a skill stop awarded from the trail bonus ie 4 on the number trail and it flys straight up to mega streak every time but you have to be quick to hit it, it is only awarded when the machine is buzzing. I have also found when forcing gettin ziggy it goes hot and cold like 1 board offers normal mega streak next board you lose on £2. I'd have forced on for it in red though as it can be a lot better and have also found the afters better if you do, hope this helps

Yeah sorry, I was thinking about an earlier version of this type of machine where the mega streak is only on the feature side of the hi lo part.

Anyway, at least you were only £5 down- its better than collecting smaller wins all the time and recycling your money till you are £20 down lol! Personally, if the machine put you back on twice after £5 in, I would have been tempted to see how far it would have gone with a few more boards.

Darren explained the sss stop for you, its simply a skillstop that goes right upto the mega streak- although I've found taking it can often kill the machine- depends how much you have put in to decide whether to try and get mega streak- I have never seen it go over £25 from sss.

By the way, BFM are not too bad to play all the time. You can't force them but recently I have had success on some of them by running £20 through in forcing to up the payout percentage a bit then take advantage of all the boards they offer, by collecting £5, £7, wins.

I don't know if you have ever played ANT and DEC Takeaway, last time on I ran £20 through- most offered was £8, next board I think I collected a £6 win, then it seemed to trigger a run of boards where I kept collecting. It wasn't a huge profit, but it was profit!

Although be warned, forcing all out for jp can cost £40 easy for a £25 jp then the machine dies.

You never know, living in portsmouth, you pickup enough knowledge you can start doing the ferry runs with the ever so popular ccnr

Always "knock back" the SSS board as it wont give you anything over £25 (from personal experience). Getting the MS from £30 is bloody good going as normally it takes £50 and then should give you a couple of MS/JP and then a couple of good boards afterwards where you can normally make about £15/20 from it. I prefer the set-out of GZWI compared to the likes of Nun's and Roses etc... as its much more progressive and you can normally tell when its going to come. Look out for quick steals (via Super Hold - red) and Fast Cash. Used to always make a a profit on this but N&R's seems much harder to do so ...
