    Default BFM's PowerBall

This has just come into one of my locals, anyone played it?

It has got a good super feature where you pull a trigger back like a pin ball machine and it fires a ball around the feature board and you try and get it into one of the holes for streak add, boost and so on.

LOL, at first when I got on the superboard I thought the machine had crashed cos I never noticed you had to actually pull the trigger yourself! It's quite good fun once you get on the board after getting 3 powerball's lit up. It's like one of those old toys you used to buy as a kid and you had to get the little metal ball into one of the hoops!

One thing though, it isn't run by the computer and it does seem random, anyone confirm this, or will it be magnetised?

Cant see it being magnetized, maybe the machine will just only let you on the powerball board when its happy? Plus I bet most of the features in there are SHITE, will be ONE thats good like a Mega Streak or something... Which could be adjusted?

If it was random, then there wouldn't be a percentage sticker on the machine, you should check that.

Sounds cool, cant wait to have a blast of one.

Although this concludes one of my posts quite a while back on how BFM like to rope players into pumping loads in by adding features not seen anywhere else/great graphics/good sound/gameplay.

This just proves how SHITE there machines are tbqfh... now you HAVE to agree with that?

The rest of the machine is typical board on BFM, go round get to £2.40 and get a mystery and option to collect, although there is the dreaded GAME OVER you can land on as well as the mysteries...

But the super feature is suprisingly good and you just keep playing it ((until the ball falls down the bottom section, where the machine then gets the chance to decide whether you can release the ball again))- there is a streak add- as in streak, land in again for super streak then mega streak I assume, boost- which makes all features red and similar stuff, plus, as long as you can make the ball land in one of the holes, you don't get knocked off the super feature- that's why I was thinking it may be magnetised in some way because if you hit a lucky streak you may get more than the machine wants to pay out- although the chances of landing the ball in boost feature 10 times are probably higher than what the computer usually lets you away with!

But I agree, once I got playing the machine I was hooked on this little game- it was quite fun! Ended up £7 up too after sticking £20 note into it.

Search for my earlier thread on this machine.
I like it...and I got my 1st streak last night..£50 with good afters.
Annoying thing is although the top board appears random, down to ball mechanics and physics etc..it's amazing how many times you will hit the mystery slot when you have say 2 or 3 balls stored up and it will nick them all.
1st slot is for streaks...if you refuse streak no.1 and drop it in that slot again then streak no.2 is offered which is better (£24 on last count for me). Never had streak no.3 but wonder whether it is possible to get over £25 on it.

Perhaps so, the ball may not be magnetised but the layout of the game my be designed to be in favour of the ball landing in a mystery or missing the holes altogether. Although that said, I never hit one mystery and I had about 20 goes in all.

PS, I did search for this and only found a thread started by Crazy Jimmy back in Jan- what was your thread called so I can check it out?

Edit- don't worry I just found it

    Default powerball

Though I have never seen this machine, am I right in saying there was 'rechip' for this machine in the weight of the ball??

Just seen this 2nite, the ball does seem rigged in a way, try the 4th up where you have to hit a number from 1-8 and each number moves one up the cash, had this 7 times earlier on 2 pound boards and it gave 1.60 every time.
Besides that and the fact I've havent had a superboard yet, I like it (TS clone) especially with that 2p m/c style. Also compared to trick shot its hard to get triple shot and hope for ahold afterwards.

Is the ball metal (for instance steel) as you could surely use a magnet to control its course?!?!? Anyone wanna try?

LOL, it would be like something out of the crystal maze! It's very unlikely that it is metal for that very reason, but you never know!!!!!

If you and your mates are strong enough and you are all friendly with the landlord of the establishment you could try physically laying the fruit machine on the floor and moving it around to get the ball in the right hole. Its dumb, but no more dumb than sticking £20+ into a fruit machine without getting anything out.
