Just had the doctors and nurses in my local replaced, by what I think is called "throw a wobbly" by barcrest. I kno this has been mentioned in another thread but i thought id start a new one, save the other one going off topic. Anyway just wanted to ask general opinions really, how easy is it to read, how progressive are the boards, any real tell-tale signs that kind of thing.
On another note, not that looks mean sh*t in this game but i kind of like the look of it. havnt played it yet but it reminds me of BFU, the wraparound board looks similar, as does the tiered trail (i assume u can nudge in numbers to progress the trail whilst on the board). Get paid on friday so ill give it a whirl then.
Look forward to hearing your opinions
ps im new to the forum, please be nice to me :P hehe
Welcome to the forum mate, I'd love to aoofer advice but I haven't ever seen this machine yet. If it is anything like BFU, then check for positive signs then all out force! But wait till someone offer sosme better advice first...Originally Posted by AllOrNothing

cheers. there used to be a BFU in the same pub, used to force it every friday lunch time for bout £20 profitit just always seemed happy at that time and was usually backin after bout a fiver! To be honest i was gutted when they replaced it with "cash me if u can" cos that 20 quid used to come in handy (altho i did get 2 consecutive IM on it the other day after bout £10 in so i cant REALLY complain but thats another story) but hopefully if this is similar it could work out the same. like i said ill give it a go on friday, see wot its like.
Also, altho they replaced doctors and nurses, the cabinet seems to b the same one (big red nobbly bits around the edges, buttons quite far apart), as if they only changed the "game" so to speak (best analogy i cud come up with is its like changing the disc in a playstation as apposed to buying a new playstation)...was just wondering is this going to become more common or was it just coincidence that the machine got replaced by one with a similar cabinet? Or has this always been done and im just stupid for not noticing it?? :S

It's just in the same style of cabinet they haven't just changed the glass![]()
Any time you aggressively play seven deuce off suit, the universe will bend the laws of short term probability in order to re-balance the long term probability abuses by those trashy players who only play premium hands
I know what you mean about BFU- I've got one I play once a week and it always prevents me from forcing cos it offers £20+ on the first cashpot after the first board- I don't even need to force it!Originally Posted by AllOrNothing
I think the joy about this machine for forcing is that it is usually quite generous with the darts throws, so the cashpot builds up nicely regularly, so once people get to say £7 they'll collect it on the mystery- of course, they'll tend to recycle their money and put £4 back in then leave, so the machine stays relatively happy and is good for the force. I've took countless DM's and jps' early and have never been stung on this machine once. So far so good...
Good debate - JP or DM - I always go for DM as when you have pot on the board 60-70% of the times DM will be given. Although if a few quid in for a reelko which jumps but can be good dependant on number and the other thing that happens I'll take pot.
Dave
For me, it just depends how early it comes- if jp value before £10 in, then it saves some time and i'm still £15 up or so. If I've had to warm the machine up a bit- say after someone collected a £10 or something, then I'd usually always go for the DM- what's the most you've had of this Dave? Mine was £56 off DM although next board gave me £12 in the cashpot.Originally Posted by Justanewone
The most I've had is 74 quid and a then 2 £2 boards then a 5.60 cp.
Forced this a few times now. Being a Barcrest (progressive) and usually backing when I play it it's kind of a no brainer really. Something I noticed that may benefit one of u guys (or gals): If u get on the featureboard and it throws a 3 (for blue "shoot") and it offers blue series, and on the next roll it rolls a 5 (for "?") and it kills you, keep playing. So far I've done this twice and next board it offered green series and killed me straight after, then next board yellow series and killed me, then finally red series on the next board. I hope this helps someone. Let me know if you've had this too.
