Space raiders new from barcrest has any one played it yet if so have is it any good?

Looks like another £50 in £25 out barcrest classic, have'nt played it and probably wont.

looks similiar to viu/srm with the blue and red trails. i would be interested to know if anyone has played it and what it plays like.

Unusual hybrid this, the usual shows of AFU etc, but with a 'space ship blast' thing on the red board. Also has a visible IM (message displayed in alpha)!!!! The only clone I know that does this visibly, and after a £25 board as well. Either filled to death when I played it, or Barcrest decided on some sentiment and buit a partial steak in there. Not too bad IMO.

It'd be nice if they've built a solid 50 into it, although if the munter force brigade can, well, munty force it out won't perhaps be much value to it.

Is this Barcrest's most cloned game structure ever? Can't say I blame them, it's the best designed line of £25 AWPs bar none, no doubt about it.

AFAIK yes, and agreed, these machines are probably the best of the £25 JP offerings.

Only drawback of space invaders is that it is much less predictable when you get the decent super features eg hot Tutti Fruitti as they come off the middle board and not from the stack IIRC???

Only time I ever played one I took 50 from 50, only to get a strim alarm after it paid out £2...

BTW anyone tried the new barcrest that offers shots in various progressive zones??? (Can't remember the name, might be something to do with jelly?!?!?)

This is on test it seems at my local ladbrokes. It seems to play similar to GGG et al, shotwise, with a BFU wraparound board at the bottom with the usual 'kill you on a q mark for a quid if I cant afford it' mentality. Only played for a few mins last week, 5 in 5 out, and left it as I heard someone had battered it, so I wont say for certain its that bad yet, but I wasnt that impressed TBH.
