I copied this from kingers board, thought it summed this subject up well::
One poster from an arcade suggested (to stop machines being refloated after big payouts, that the machine should be able to pay a few 100 pound-value tokens out to the punter when jackpot occurs.)
FFS!!!
Have u no clue as to what players want??
"a 100 quid token to exchange....etc..."
Jeez, when fleecing punters 4or5 quid a spin, and they hit the 'random' (ha ha) biggun, they want to hear the sound of gold metal £1 nuggets, not some glittery token being coughed out like a big turd from a tight ar$e!!
If these section 16's are random, which as a player (once) of them and now merely an observer I know they certainly ain't, then:
How come no one has EVER seen or had an incidence of this 150/500 etc. dropping say twice in ten-fifty spins???
Why is it the machine seems to repeat one of two patterns every time (nifty 150 in this case) when it pays the jackpot out:
1. it will suck about 80-90 back with a few 2 or 3 quids, then pay a run of 25's
OR
it then starts giving 25's almost immediately aqnd builds up to about 250-275??
Without fail, it does one of these 2 every time.
Just as in electrocrap machines like big7, magic7 etc.. bar-x, there is a clear pattern to payouts over a period of time if u watch them, repeated over many thousand spins.
In my local arcade, I've seen ONLY 2 people (apart from me a couple of times but not since) play the section 16 for a sustained period. Mostly, people walk up, put a quid in, DON'T get a play for it unless they work out to set it to minimum spin or in the case of the nifty 150 get 1 spin for their quid.
Thye press the start button again in puzzlement, "fvck me!, is that it???" and in response some regular points out "yeah it's a quid a spin m8, or 5 quid for a full-jackpot chance spin (500 jacker units)"
They shake their heads in disbelief "jeez, last time I played it was 25/30p a go..." never to be seen again.
The section 16 returns to it's dusty static state for another day. This is the pattern in most arcades these are in.
The industry is committing suicide. The only regular players will be those who take a while to burn the many thousands of credit limits/overdrafts they have before despair, or those that win a couple of hundred on the others with a bit of sharking/knowledge and then foolishly lose it (like u lot hope) in the section 16's in 15 minutes.
My local arcade 2 weeks ago, had TWO customers ALL DAY SATURDAY apart from myself, in 10 hours. It was thronging once.
Fvck u all.

This was my point on another thread about these machines justanewone.
If they are indeed 'random' what mathematical equation are we talking about in terms of random? In the basic programming language which is really basic btw, you would state something along the lines of Rand(50) there's other code but that for example would setup every 1 second a random number to appear from 1-50.
If there is 16 fruits/x/o whatever on each reel then 3x16 would give a total of 48. I dont know about these low tech jobbies, but is there nudges on this machine? Are nudges and holds random too? Surely if JP and wins are random, holds and nudges are? So the holds on a hi-tec would represent hold this for MAYBE a win, but on this type of mc it could mean we're just offering you a random hold? Thus concluding like you said, 1 million JP's in a row? Who said its not possible with randomization![]()

There is one near me thats all '7s' and '0s', there's an LED that states the %, it rises higher the more you stake upto 94% for £2 per spin. If that is the case (which it is, can't remember the name) it can't be random. The fruits on the reels make the % but by upping the stake it's not taking a couple of '0s' away and putting '7s' in place of them if you catch my driftOriginally Posted by Justanewone
(They are reels and not video btw).
