Is it just me or do manufacurers have a keen sense of irony- constantly giving machines or features misnomers such as mega streak/ big money/ cash blaster/ break the bank....and so on and so on....
Anyway- went playing today- did well on a few 15jps and 25jps- used knowledge and experience-revolution/homers/getting ziggy etc....then made the mistake of using my key on a 5 jp bellfruit called quality streak- it was 2 off full so I thought ok will go for a streak-or at least a jp.
Now it wasnt refilled- place doesnt refill unless empty- just empties cashboxes- and was playing ok at start.
It swallowed 60 quid and popped out 3 5 jps spaced over 20 quid. At one point it didnt give a board for a tenner. Tried collecting/forcing/ going for red streak etc- nothing- had to leave as was getting very frustrated- so 30-35ish down on a 5jp= one of my worst experiences!!
Then played jumping jokers and one of workers was staring at my method of play- coming up right over my shoulder - it was then I decided to leave.
Leave for good....I have had enough.
After five years of serious gambling on the machines I am quitting- started on a 5jp cash lab by qps and went to 15jps (which in my opinion were the best machines- especially barcrest classics) then 25jps and finally club machines.
I got pretty good at the club machines- if disciplined 100-160 per machine profit- average was about 60 profit though per machine.
Then recently attempted to play 25jps again with some knowledge I picked up and my past experience. Didnt go too well- even when winning I was loosing- as I was loosing time with other people- being antisocial etc. Hanging about in dodgy places too to get the best machines- some dodgy clubs/snooker halls etc.
So after the shafting i took today- which was one of many over the years- I am going to go cold turkey and concentarte on living my life without machines!
Not going to lecture but in my opinion to be a pro you need not to enjoy gambling on the machines and not have an addictive personality- as you will take chances- play machines you shouldnt etc....
You have to be very disciplined/ have connections/ stay up to speed with methods/ travel/ be focused on set goals...otherwise you lose time and money. Perhaps the lost time is the more valuable. I am sure it has happened to ALL of us- a machine keeping us for linger than we like- even if we win or are using a good method/emptier.
Anyway- lets be honest with ourselves- playing fruit machines is a bit sad at any level- amateur, pro or intermediate- it is demeaning and we all know it deep down- would you want your family to see the amount you put in machines?
Anyway, good luck to everyone who reads this and may you one day stop playing also if that is what is best for you.
Can I say to anyone new who is thinking of playing machines - do not bother- the vast majority of you will lose thousands over time. If you finally get good enough and know methods your profit will not be brilliant and of the few that do really well- I wonder how happy they really are...
Hopefully this will be my last message- I know all of us have said they are quitting before or at least thought about it but this time I know I am serious.
I dont mean any offence by my post- just calling it how I see it.
Thanks for reading,
Good luck,
T.
sorry cannot type- that is losing - (not loosing!!) and longer- (not linger!!!)
Thought I would finish on a grammatical high.
Cheers.
Goodbye to all..............................................
and streak not sreak!! LOL
Third time lucky?........
Good Luck,
T.
Quality streak is a bugger, and forcing a £5 bellfruit is playing with fire really. In one bit you said i tried collecting/forcing red streak.....the whole point of forcing is that you don't collect things, surely? On QS your probably better getting an extra life and going for JPR, i've seen WAY too many of these suck for ages and only do a £25. On the flip side, i've had an £82 red streak once, but thats exception rather than the norm.Originally Posted by timbobw

re family seeing me shove money in....i never gamble if im out with family, and most of the time i can win anyway, so it's not a great problem.
If you stick to what you know, then you can soon make up for lost time.

Another point concerning £5 JP's. Don't assume that u cannot lose big on these as they can b very bad at times. Sometimes If I don't have a lot of money on me and fancy a flutter in an arcade, I will say, 'I'll stay out the over 18's section so there's no chance of me losing big.'
Ha ha, this is until I discovered a £5 psycho cash beast taking £40 for an OTT for £12, a shite machine called each way shifter taking £30 for £10 bk, rollercoaster etc showing signs of paying and then sucking for £30/40. Before u know it yer down a large amount.
After a certain point and a certain amount of money later there is very little/no chance of you getting your money bk on these £5JP's, at least with £25's u have a chance of a large return.
As said earlier in a post, stick to wot u know best. If I do play the machines I know best, even if they have been done recently by someone else, I will not lose much if any. Stay disciplined, especially when ur winning, as its easy to start playing something u wouldn't normally play, next thing ur stuck on it and it end up hammering you, low tecs are especially bad for this.
Yesterday, my mate stuck £80 in a full bullion bars machine (astra) with one top feature which gave £4, now thats soul destroying. So best play machines u know and even better if u know when they last paid.
p.s £5 cash lab was a great machine if played properly, very easy to tell when its ready to pay... taxi, 2 nudges, move back 3, move back 3, skillstop, cashlabs ... woohooo

You could say that would be enough to deter anyone from continue playing if you lose more than you win but like everyone on this forum we enjoy the thrill of beating the machine and emptying them. I would say that im pretty clued up on how to play them but over the past few years the enjoyment has gone because the machines are getting designed to take more and more off the 'pro' players. We play them until we empty them thats the theory and its costing us rather than rewarding us. Yeah we might get lucky and catch a machine thats ready to go but its a rare occurance.
Sorry for being so depressing but thats how i see it. I still like to play from time to time but just for fun not for '£75 streaks' that cost £74!!!!!
My mate is clueless on mcs, he stuck 2 quid other day in a Club Gold Digger £100jp, got on board, gave superboard, extra life, eliminator so on, cash was flying up, feature stack was flying up, I said must be hidden IM didn't show any signs really.Originally Posted by timbobw
Anyway, top feature was Winning Streak, I said take that, with me not knowing the mc at all, sounded good obviously streak was in it, £75 he walked away with :/
Then I remembered it was a BFM... pfff?

I know what you mean though, it is a piss take when a machine costs £70 to get £70 back, but I like playing them so this doesn't bother me, I play for profit but also play cos I like playing machines when I'm bored in the pub. So if I stick £70 in and only get £60 back, it's only a tenner lost and better than how some people play when they keep collecting small wins and end up losing far more for little chance of winning cos they keep collecting anyway.
And Tim, I know what you mean too mate, for all the time and effort it takes to win small amount of money, you may as well do some overtime in work- there are better ways to spend your time than going round pubs simply to gamble. Although if on my own, I can play machines with discipline and pretty much guarantee a small bit of profit or break even at least, I don't really like going the pub on my own, so it is a rare occurence if I go the pub on my own to simply gamble.
I lose my money when I'm out with my mates and foolishly stick about £10 in a machine hoping to win without the funds to back it up, then the machine seems pretty decent so I end up sticking the £40 in I brought out through the notechanger and it looks like I'm an addict lol- then the sharks gather and you think what is the fucking point. I'm changing my ways though, I bought a round tonight and stuck the £3 change into some hi lo machine, it offered £5 first board so I collected and left it £2 up! Fuck all, but it is better than having to ram £70 through a machine to get £70 back as you say...*
Rant over lol![]()
I have to agree unless you are pretty tight on locations, but lady luck DOES play a factor at catching the mc at the right time, most methods these days are costing players like you say for a streak of £75 sometimes up to £50-60.Originally Posted by likesapunt

Sticking to the 2 machines i knew how to play, it's easy to make £50+ a day with all the munter play going on, but it's just after you've finished playing them you feel like a punt on something else, whilst doing so i found out that Jackpoteers 2 is a little ****, and that my £50 a day suddenly becomes £20.
Was pleasantly suprised with the Bellfruit crazy golf game Crazy money though, was a lot of fun, and chucked a £70 streak out of the blue that was apprechiated, what does everyone else think of it?
