Hello all..
Although im new to this site, i've spend many years playin awp's and bigger club machines, and like most, i've won and i've lost some..
However i was wonderin if any could enlighten me about the science behind a backing machine?!!! A few days ago i played hurricane (25 p/25jp), 2nd pound in backed, 3 pounds later.. jpr.. nice! Moved onto hitshot (25p/25jp), 1st buck in dropped (so it may have been backing for a while b4 i got there??) yet 25-30 quids later, no result. game play was flat, no high boards, all blocks at around 4/5 quid?
Is there any way to distinguish which backing machines can refuse payouts?
PM or open forum.. ???
Thanks, Golsey bear.
Dude, please use the search button.
The method your asking sounds like a question but if you READ the forums already, your question is answered in bits all over the forums.
Different questions about backing by different people build together a picture about backing.
Playing fruitties for profit is not just noticing and playing machines that are backing, its about profiles, knowledge of each machine and its manu.

Ok thanks guys...
I appreciate your suggestions.. i was wonderin, if there is a pre-set amount each machine "takes" through backing before paying??and whether this amount varies between manufacturers?
Any thoughts? Golsey bear!
This is a question that noone could possibly give an accurate answer to. There are too many factors affecting how much a machine will take when backing. e.g How much went down the back the last time is was full and how often is it played? What percentage is the m/c set at? How often is it refilled? blah blah blahOriginally Posted by golsey bear
A mate of mine played a joker poker a few weeks back and it was backing after £30, Percentage setting at 88%+, took nearly £300 from him without giving a large sum back. This arcade does not refill any of its machines unless they are emptied by a customer.
This is just an example as not to look too much into backing as if you catch a full machine u might instantly think "yes, I should win here" it is not always the case, you can easily be nailed. Especially on low tec machines where it is harder to tell when they are gonna pay out. Knowing machine history is more important, like the last time it done a streak etc.
After playing a machine for a long period of time u will b able to hear it backing no problem, but u will also b able to tell whether or not the coin u put in the machine is hitting a lot of other coins, or whether it is hitting an empty cash box in the bottom, therefor giving a rough idea as to how much has been put down the back of the machine previously. I can do this on a few machines but it takes time to hear the difference. Some machines are easier than others to tell this on. Oxo super reels are particularly good for this.

You should learn to know when a machine is playing based on your playing judgement! When should you walk though (Red comes 2 mind) u have to set urself a limit of what to gamble and what u wanna get, say 10 turns into either nothing or 40 quid and then STOP!

Yeh i see what your saying.. there's far more to winning on a machine then just backing.. That makes sense really, sometimes when they are backing they still play sh*te! yet other times play well, looking to pay and balance their %.. cheers guys!!
The best bet is to follow Jastaneone's advice and learn how to know when a machine is playing well.Originally Posted by golsey bear
If it plays well and puts you on the board frequently and the cash values increase every board, if you are forcing, then play it whether it is backing or not- if it is backing, perhaps it is an added bonus...
