Anyone else get the e-mail from Barcrest the other day regarding the new 'Maygay' machine. For those who didn't here goes:
"Dear Moss
We are proud to introduce our first game since we joined the Barcrest Group. King Ker-Ching is a brand new game with standard and pre-gamble options. Play the pre-gamble game for higher value wins and features!
For hints and tips on how to play King Ker-Ching click on the link below which takes you to the newly launched Maygay website. You will also find a list of venues where you can play the King Ker-Ching game."
Does it sound like a Barcrest clone? yep the pic looks like it.
Heres a link to see for yourself http://www.maygay.com/products.html So it looks to me.
Might be having a wonder to one of the locations to see over the next few days...
Yep, yet ANOTHER GGG/CBW/HOP/BKC/MZ clone. Looks more like BKC/HOP orientated though, just with different names for features.
Maybe seeing as it's a Maygay rather than a barcrest it will have the standard Maygay £75 streak tucked away in there.
I see it also has a feature like some of the old QPS efforts whereby you don't spin the reels to gain entry. Interesting....
Number reel is also still set so that every bad number you get will step to a better one (except the 9 of course).
Eg. 8 -> 1, 9 -> 4, 7 -> 2, 6 -> 3, 5 -> 11, and also 3 -> 12 if you feel like it's going to kill you off.
Matt
i am not sure about stepping. on these hilo machines about at the moment the number seems to have little relevance really.
if you are at the block on that board, it will kill whether you are on anything except a 1 or 12. on early gbc it seemed to kill you quicker if you saved your steps (ie you could step to a better num but saved it).
also if you have extra life and have made 2 of the same gambles it will allow you to step for the third gamble for skill bonus (often sacrificing the life in the process, like step to 2, gamble, 1, gamble skill bonus.) but for what? the wife is of no real use, except in the situation that you have 2 red symbols and use the life to get skill bonus for 3rd if you are only in for a few quid.
i must admit i will usually go for bonus red on a skill bonus, hoping for red ms (although again, i think ms will give what it wants, whether red or normal.) or red features, like fast cash.
bkc and hop, as well as the rest already have a £75+ streak in them, as long as it is allowed to build up. if they are being regularly forced you will be lucky to see more than £30. biggest one i have seen was on a gbc me and justanewone forced. initial mega streak was £90 (in the gun barrels if you remember dave?)
rather than relying on steps it is best to know the history, then it can simply be played for the best profit.
opinions?
you are living proof that god has a sense of humour.
These barcrest multistakes don't have bonus reds on them cfdu....think you're getting a bit confused with the Mazooma/QPS efforts including JJC/GBC & Abracadabra.
These will play like Horn of Plenty/Bling King, not those others listed.
Fast cash on the barcrest machines is money belt, not the cash lamp skillstop. (Don't know why i'm telling you this, i'd bet my house on it you already know..)
Agree on the barcrest streaks though. If they get done over regularly then it's normally pretty flat, and you lose money. If it's allowed to build for a while, they can do over £100 with 2 big megas (£40+ each) and some decent afters with big money and highs n lows if you are lucky.
Maygays tend to just throw out £75 for their streak (IJ3/Dambuster.....JPR + reds) with no other variation on offer. It's either catch the streak at the right time, or lose out. Wonder if these ones are any different....
Matt
oh yeah i was just generalising all the multistakes around at the moment into one, as in a sense they are so similar.
the extra life principle applies on barcrests as well as the mazoomas. they will kill you for no reason.
the barcrests seem to block much harder than gbc etc.
also stepping is the same - if the machine wants to kill you it will do, unless on 1/12. and if you win that gamble, on hop and bling it will just give something pointless liek extra barrel, a crap bonus so there is nothing to collect if you wanted to, then kill you.
you are living proof that god has a sense of humour.
To be honest i find i find the barcrest block easyer to break than the GBC one..but clones of clones of clones is right.
you have not had a horn of plenty block ms for £70 having offered £15 cash shot on first board then...... bastard that was!
you are living proof that god has a sense of humour.
Booked Moss: There isn't a big block on GBC et al though? In fact i'd say there's hardly any block really!
They progress so easily, and once you've got the £10 shot under your belt, the SSS comes along a few quid after. Never more than £40 or so for a SSS, whatever the machines state. Obviously it'll only be £25 when it first comes on, as the machine is only just JP ready.
If you want bigger prizes you need to knock back a few etc..
Now the barcrest ones....as cfdu says, they can block for an age, the streak is more tightly controlled. The £10-£25 block is massive, and the £25 -> MS block can be ridiculous (I've had to knock 7 £25 shots before a MS once)
I've also stuck £60 odd through a GGG offering £8 on the first board before it went.
I'm not agreeing with this clones of clones stuff either. The barcrest clones play like each other, the mazooma clones play the same as each other.
Similar to look at maybe, but there's no way they play the same.
Matt
Never mind, i got what i needed.
Ah, I remember CFDU, what a good day, shame the TIJ3 didnt streakI also remember the HOP blocking after offering 15!
