hey, is plugging turning the machine on on off, done this tonight on a £8 cash cow by qps for about £50, took a while though. Also i have done this on a wildfire, is there any particular manu that this would work best on or just random machines also is this illegal surely it couldnt be your only turning the machine on and off? also how does this work?? any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks
I'm no expert and i'm sure someone will give a much better answer than me but yeah "Plugging" is basically turning the machine On and Off, usually on an 'IM' Board or in the start of a forced win, like a "Mega Streak" on a GBC Clone etc.. it can on some manus trigger a streak & such..Originally Posted by darren222

It's basically just turning the machine off at a certain point to your benefit (usually at the beginning of a streak) then back on again. I think the logic behind it is that it makes the machine over-compensate - thus giving a bigger streak.
I know that it works on GGG/CBW (just after you've taken the shot, before the wins roll in). Also does well on lockbuster et al just after you've got 3 reds for the top streak.
I also said earlier i've only really tried it on a thunderbirds. Plugged when the IM horn sounds 3 or 4 times.....threw out 4 IM's in a row!
As for legality....i don't do it personally here because there isn't anywhere that is quiet enough and out of view. I wouldn't recommend it....if a landlord catches you, they'd probably throw you out for tampering, then you'd lose out from all the money you'd put in getting to the streak in the first place.

My God!
Are we really getting asked these questions?
God knows how some people make any money when they are asking what 'forcing' and 'plugging' is.
Where have all the regulars gone? 75% of the last threads started on this board in the last 2 months should be in the newbie section in my opinion.
"I'm not a newbie" I hear you say...
Well you might as well be.

I'll happily post when there is something worth discussing!!!
Mate, if you're such a know all, why bother replying to the thread, if you don't like it, don't read it! Simple.Originally Posted by a1056688
The whole point of the forum is to discuss these things so if I or anyone else posts a question, you either chose to read it and reply or not- I hate it when people reply with remarks like that- I mean, look at the replies before your one, they were helpful for the person who asked the question. Stop being so dismissful of people who may not have the superior knowledge of machines like yourself...
Well read the name of the forums for Christ sake.
The forums are clearly labelled:
"Newbie questions:The place to post if you're new to strategic slots / fruit machine play and are looking for advice from our seasoned pros."
"General Slots / Fruit Machine Chat: Probably the best slots and fruit machine forum in the world! Discuss hints, tips, emptiers and trade stories."
Just about everyone of your posts should be in the Newbie category.
I didn't say I knew it all did I, although by the sounds of it most of the posters who have started threads in the past 2 months don't have the slightest idea. There are exceptions to this of course, MattB for example.
Everything is being repeated over and over again simply because people are too lazy to use the search function. There was 2 threads started in the space of a day or so a short time ago, both with the same machine title.

I'm not directly having a go but I think you are being a bit picky. If two threads have the same title, just don't read it. If each thread that you felt should be in the newbie section cost you money fair enough, but it doesn't and I think it is being a bit snobby if I was to be honest. I mean, two threads with the same title- so what, all it means is two people are raising a point they wanna raise.Originally Posted by a1056688
Sure, I am not aware of all the things but if I have a question about forcing that I want to ask, I post it on here cos this part of the forum is read more, and many people reply and help me- MattB has given me pricless info to name just one of the posters.
Also, I always use the search button first- just cos it is the same title thread doesn't mean it is asking or talking about the same question.
I see where you are coming from but I don't agree my threads should be in the newbie section, I have asked some questions that not everyone fully understands the answer to.
Fair play to you.
It wasn't a direct stab at you.
Part of the problem is the lack of decent machines at the moment. This is the reason that many of the old school posters don't frequent here these days.
It just gets annoying to read questions saying stuff like:
"Hi, this has just turned up in my local, has anyone got any tips"
When you have been playing a while and have half decent knowledge it is frustrating when people ask how to play the new Bell Fruit that has just arrived in their local.
It's been said before on numerous occasions that it isn't possible for a Pro Player to make regular profit from playing recent Bell Fruits. Just ignore it and go and find something worth while to play.
I respect that many people just like to play in their local for a bit of fun but its frustrating to hear people asking for help when the best way to help themselves is not to play it!

I don't mind answering questions really, whatever they may be about.
(Most) knowledge is there to be shared, so i'm more than happy to do so.
Sometimes it might get a bit tedious, but if the poster posing the question is polite enough about it i don't see any harm really
Been reading a lot about this private members forum recently. Surely you guys who post in there have enough stuff worthwhile to discuss amongst yourselves without shooting down peoples enquiries on here, whatever they may be.
Am i wrong?
