Don't play glasgow at all, only ever tried the machines up there once in my Uni days, didn't go well. Sharks all over the place, its very competetive up there. I'm not from Glasgow anyway, I'm down on the coast and its a hot spot for the glasgow tourists coming down for the weekend, that's when I can make some real cash. There are still pro's in my area obviously and I am friendly with one in particular, he lets me know what he's nailed before I play it. I'm not that bothered about how much profit I make, as long as I dont lose too much as I enjoy playing them. Some people say they only play to win but I play for entertainment value as well. As u said, other commitments get in the way of playing but thats life. I'd much rather have a degree and get a good job, playing machines at the weekend say, than have to rely on fruit machines for a living, its a bit too risky for my liking. And in relation to the pro's taking taxi's everywhere, they're probably taking taxi's to my patch, as the place is littered with busy arcades and pubs, especially at this time of year.
