Yep, last year was a good year.

Lots of machines to play and a few decent emptiers to go with it.

Supercharged (late 2003), Rat Pack, Money Laundry, Honey Money, that I can think of.

This year is a different story. I'll be lucky if i've made £2000 to be honest although I haven't really played much at all due to other comitments. Planning on getting back into it although I don't have much time these days and it's not the best time at the moment anyway. The problem I have at the minute (and others will probably agree) is that I can quite easily go out and make maybe £100 on a weekend but thats it. Once all the few streak machines that I have left have been done its difficult to make further progress even from the AFU's etc. This is why the Full-Time Pro players are struggling. They can make there £200 easily, it's making up the other £xoo that is difficult.

I seem to remember a time like this before the Fireball era when people were saying it was nearly the end and look what we have seen since then. I'll see how things go.

Yep I remember you mentioning him Chez but couldn't remember the details.

Quake is a terrible machine but if someone has just won JP+ then it is always worth a try as it has paid £100 + many times.

Just got back from a long weekend camping in Cornwall, enjoyed reading thru this thread.

Just checked my records for 2005, and have made £3166 so far this year ( palying part-time as i have a full-time job ).... however my monthly figures are starting to tail off as i have lost a lot of decent machines.... dont know if i can be arsed to go round looking for more locations as i have returned to playing online poker ( have played it before without really knowing what i was doing, but have since bought some books & read up on it )

Monthly fruit profit for this year:

    Jan - £593
    Feb - £781
    Mar - £1138
    Apr - £448 ( was away for 1 week in Spain )
    May - £206

This month has been a real struggle & is pushing me towards concentrating on the poker.... though after seeing some of the machines in Cornwall.... as i said to someone on here, maybe should buy a beat-up camper van & tour round there lololololol

Wot machines are u playing in order to gain those profits? Especially over £1k a month! Do you play Lo-tecs as I am assuming u play hi-tecs most of the time, if not all of the time. My profit patterns are a reverse of yours, I am making more at the moment than at the beginning of the year mostly due to glasgow tourists coming into my area and throwing money into machines and walking away. If my playing trend continues then at peak tourist season I could b making some serious cash. Made around £200 in one day last week but this was a freak day as most of it was attained on low-tecs, a party games spitting out £120 for not a lot in, again due to bank holiday and machines being played left, right and centre. Unlike most of the regulars on here I dont have a lot of these 'streak' machines locally, AFU, SRM... So I rely more on low-tecs than most. Saying that I do have a revolution which always seems to play well on a Monday and is good for some profit, along with an unchipped connect 4, which I cane around 3 times a week as it is located in a busy pub. Oh yeah, even caught a bellfruit trick shot machines on a roll the other day. Played for a board and collected £4 on a Q mark, played on just to pass some time and next board goes red, and then again on next feature with some good afters, total of over £70 out for about £12 in. Just goes to show these machines aren't water tight 100% of the time.

It's not that difficult to make £1k a month, well it wasn't at the start of the year anyway. Especially if you have a good few hours / days a week spare.

Thats only £200 a week don't forget. You will make that just by taking your standard £6-10 profit from an AFU etc and moving on.

When you have a full-time job and other comitments like children it's a little more difficult and is getting more difficult by the week in my book.

    Do you play Glasgow regularly?

Haven't noticed anyone from Sunderland on your travels have you?

I heard that all the decent players in Glasgow take Taxi's everywhere. If that's the case then no wonder your finding £1k a month difficult.

Quite a few pro's in my area, I know who they are but haven't seen them around for about the past year. I dont know if that's because im not putting myself about more or if they have given up. Last I heard they were hitting the loop holes in the online sites when they first came about.

Some are ok but their arogance is anoying, every pro has a weakness and I have still seen the odd pro or two drop over £100 in a machine with very little return. Difference between me and them is their contacts as mentioned earlier I only have this board, all my gambling buddies have dissapeard. They are a group which makes it easier for them.

I did love it around the King Kebab era. I found the MTR on the first day of play and my local got it pretty much straight after it's release. I started hitting them with my mate and one day on our usual satarday rounds a group of these said pro's were in my local playing it. At first i thought dont say they are doing them aswell but from the looks of it they were just stopping after football practice. Anyway we waited and watched this guy pump over a ton into the machine only to evetually get barcode of the board he went for follow me and used the old barcrest trick. I thought he may have sussed it but only took 2 jp's and walked looking over at us smirking.

10 minutes later me and my mate walked out with about £90 in coins laughing.

KK is the only MTR i have found by myself, it wasn't really that hard any others I have had are hand me downs and by the time i get them there is very little profit to be made using them
I also found the the overload barcode JP feature of my own back but that was just luck

What other MTR's have people found on their own. I mean not be given the info by someone else
I will give praise to the one who sussed hilowatha or royal family

Mate, I don't know what it is, it is just that I've only ever seen one version of Royle Family and it was made by Bellfruit.

Tell me the emptier so I can go and empty it lol

Seriously though, out of interest, would this emptier still work on versions out now in the arcades and so on?

Actually , just searched for it on the forum and found the method- that would take some time to figure out! How would they know it was the yellow bars?
